1  7 costumes and one tired crafter. (IMG HEAVY!!!!) in Halloween Costumes by Ms.Bonnie on: November 07, 2011 11:57:44 AM
So this year I was somehow roped into making 8 costumes (to my inner crafter delight).
I made the following costumes.

My Pride and Joy this year was my little brother coming to me three days before our annual halloween party and asking me to make him a Jack Skellington coat. Of course as any proud crafter I choose to make the whole thing.

Things made:
Pants (only added the lines and pumpkins)

Things bought:

Close up of the back. The 'skellington' is written in glow in the dark as was his bow tie.

Please excuse the pose it was the only photo where you can see his pumpkins on his knees.

Next four costumes are Red Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty, Zombie Sailor, and Mother Nature.

I love goofy poses.

Now then my mom decided she wanted to be a pirate, she decided to go as captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Carribean. When she decided to do this I was so excited. She had loads of fun running around as capt. Jack.

Last but not least I dressed up as Ariel aka the Little mermaid.

Gangsta pose!

And a good group photo.

All in all I enjoyed making them and I used up quite a bit of material, thankfully. However hot gluing sequins SUCKS! There are still sequins all over the floor of my house.

2  Awesomely T-shirt Hurley Hoodie! Now w/added Zelda awesome-ness. ** in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Ms.Bonnie on: May 23, 2011 03:29:08 PM
I made this lovely jacket for my little brother who is as of late becoming far more of a bigger brother than a little brother. Him and I both have a love for the color black and so I used some scrap tweed I had in my craft room.
Now to deal with the 57+ some odd other fabric I have floating around.

So I decided to finally make my Zelda hoodie!

* Note my horrid Hair...It just came out of my pony tail like that.

Cause it's awesome.

I love HOODZ!

A few in process pics and a good look at the X stitching I did on the hood and the rest of it.

3  Alice/ Costume Ideas??? in Halloween Costumes by Ms.Bonnie on: September 24, 2010 08:35:20 AM
So I recently found this beautiful adjustable dress form at a thrift store for 20 dollars.

It's adjustable and at full sized it's about my size.

I then realized I had no photos of my awesome alice costume for last halloween.

Which brings me to my lastest discovery, I recently cut my hair without thinking about the upcoming craftsters holiday, halloween of course. Now trying to figure out what to dress up as has become a bit of a pain.

The new length is a bit short and this is after spending about an hour to two with the curling iron. My hair is naturally straight, I'm not opposed to dying it as long as the colors are natural colors or I could buy a wig..but I would rather not buy a wig cause they are a pain.

I love disney, anime and video games. I would also like to be a well-known character so any ideas/help would be awesome.

4  SweetHeart, thirft store Rescue in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Ms.Bonnie on: September 01, 2010 09:11:18 AM
So I found this granny looking black + white plaid skirt for 99 cents at a thrift store and I thought it needed rescuing. I took it home shortened it a bit then used the left over material to add a pleat to the edge. I also bought a bag of material from the same store and it came with lace so I added a slight lace edging. I also added a few lace hearts. I think it came out super cute.It only took me a few hours, but I had to work that day so not too long.

Will post an action shot as soon as I wear it out.
