1  Tall Forest Beast Finally Complete! in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by kelesaii on: June 21, 2013 08:41:47 AM
This one took a very long time to make!

He and all his friends are made of air drying clay, painted with acrylics, and resting on a wooden base.

Final size: 17 inches tall, 14 inches long, 8 inches wide.

I still need to take some nicer photos of the completed sculpture!

Here are some in-progess photos...

2  Two-Headed Cats in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by kelesaii on: February 13, 2012 08:30:04 AM
I made a two-headed cat.

Then I decided I needed another one.

I kept track of how the second one was made.

First, I made a sketch and an armature out of foil.

Then I started adding the clay, and some wire to reinforce the legs.

More clay. At this stage it is just an ugly pink blob creature.

This is before and after baking. The eyes are glass beads that were set in place temporarily to ensure a perfect fit.

The eyes were removed, and the painting began.

And finally done!  Grin The eyes are glued in and the entire cat is finished with a matte varnish to protect the paint job.

3  Re: Decked Out for Deathly Hallows Part II GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by kelesaii on: July 05, 2011 03:57:57 PM
I have received my package, and it is awesome!
It came with a letter from Headmaster Snape, explaining everything I would need for my last year at Hogwarts.

First, some wonderful treats!
Edible Peruvian instant darkness powder, butterbeer cookies, and acid pops(they only need a freezing charm before eating)
The cookies smell wonderful, but i may need the recipe. There won't be any left by movie night!

Next, a bag to carry all my goodies in! My favorite spell on one side, my owl patronus on the other.
And in my favorite colors of purple and green too! (That green matches the green on my studio walls! Grin)

A frame in Ravenclaw colors. I'll have to get a picture taken with my friend at the movie and put it in here.

But wait! There's more! Ivory wasn't kidding when she said the box was packed tight.
A monster book of monsters!

And on the inside...

Sour Licorice Wands, A set of potions (all carefully labeled), Muggle Studies puzzles, "Magical Photography" coloring pages with color "quills"
Divination prediction sheets, History of Magic quiz, Marauder's map, owl parchment sheets, extra quills, quick reference books
and I hope I haven't missed anything!

And a group shot!

I Love Everything, Ivory. Thank you so much!

6  My finally clean and organized studio/craft room! in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by kelesaii on: August 21, 2010 04:40:56 PM
Me and my hubby bought a house nearly a year ago, and I got one of the rooms for a studio!

Here is my main work-table. Its next to the window, so theres lots of natural light during the day, and I have a nice lamp for working at night.
I keep all my ink and liquid watercolors here.

Behind that table is a closet door turned into a very long table. Plenty of storage underneath it, and slat-wall storage above.
And my bookshelf too. Its hard to believe a year ago, most of my supplies were crammed into those five, white storage drawers.

On the next wall is my easel, an early birthday present. Currently holding the largest painting I have ever worked on.
Thats the biggest canvas I could fit into my car.

And the closet, which has lots more of my junk. Lots of jars of beads and other shiny things.

Finally, my old but comfy chair, and a storage ottoman.

Finally, a room of my own. No more dining room table disappearing under supplies, or sewing machine living on the kitchen counter!
C & C welcome!  Cheesy

Edit:  Thanks everyone for all the nice comments!
