1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Pop Art (Roy Lichtenstein) costume on: May 24, 2012 11:01:21 AM
Thanks guys....it was such a fun night!!

Was such a rush getting ready as I did the makeup for the half torn of face (in the last pic above), a friend as a geisha, another as Hellboy and another as a scary clown!!

Yeah I was so happy with my speech-bubble hairband....it was my favourite bit!!

Hi all,

This is my costume from Halloween 2011.

I went as a Pop Art girl from a painting!! And I won 1st prize at the Dublin Rocky Horror Picture Show  Grin

I painted a wig as I could not find a yellow one anywhere!! I bleached a black jacket so I could paint it to look more 'pop art' and then I just wore a 50's style short polka dot dress and pop art print tights. I also made a speech bubble headband!

Hope you like it!!

Nope...thankfully!! It was water based so I just jumped in the shower and off it came. Although I did have faint stripes on my arms for a couple of days!!!

Combing out my hair was HARD...and sore!! But worth it I think!!

Aw thanks all...and yes I am glad most days NOT to have a nose like a zebra!!! Cheesy It was my first time really using facepaints but it was so much fun painting myself!!

I adore dressing up and always go as all out as time permits!! I'll put up another couple soon.

Hi hi! This is my first post on Craftster so Hi to all!!

I went to a black & white club night recently and only had a week to prepare so I decided to go as a Zebra.

I bought a white dress (for only 5 euro!!) and cut stripes out of adhesive vinyl to use to mask-0ff areas I wanted to remain white. I used acrylic paint to paint all the black stripes on the dress.

I then painted my ears, face, hair, neck, chest and arms. My lovely boyfriend painted some false nails for me too!

The boots, tights, corset and bag (previously a make up bag) were bought.

I didn't mean for it to look so scary but it kinda was!!
