I can see I'm a little behind but I have to compliment you on your awesome work and your equally excellent subject matter! I'm a math education major with a computer science minor so this is like the crafty embodiment of my (nerdy) loves. Smiley

You can never go wrong with Bogart! Smiley This is an awesome stencil and a great gift idea.

I love it! The best kinds of mistakes are those that everyone else thinks were premeditated - and awesome! My bf and I are both former Night Elves, and we wholeheartedly approve! Smiley

So cute and summery! It looks really comfortable yet totally stylish. Great work!

I can't get over how gorgeous this is! The styling is so classic and couture yet still modern and wearable. Amazing work!
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: I Heart Math Cross Body Hipster Bag on: July 29, 2009 07:34:02 PM
Shocked This makes me so happy! Not only is it cute and crafty and I can't wait to try out the tutorial, but I'm a huge fan of all things nerdy. I'm a secondary education math major so I know I will have to put a similar design on something I can wear to class, whether that's a new messenger/notebook bag or shirt, I don't know yet - but I'll definitely post something when I do! Thanks for the awesomely nerdy inspiration!

the one in your picture? 'cause it's pretty!

Sadly no, I'm not that good. Wink My picture is actually kind of old. It's from my senior prom, which is a little over two years ago. But once I get all my costumes for the musical done, I'll have to post them together. The crinoline isn't the most attractive thing, but I'm pretty proud of the other dresses I'm making!
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Unveiling of my first Corset! yeah, it's fanware on: July 27, 2009 03:35:32 PM
I actually used hockey jersey fabric from a second hand carolina jersey  Smiley  and laced the back with hockey skate laces

As if this corset weren't clever enough! Everything about it works so perfectly: the fabric, the lining, the fit, the laces, the no grommets. (Cheesy They drive me nuts!) I'm going to have to agree with the majority when I say corsets scare me, but your first attempt is stunning! I will definitely have to look into the pattern you used.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: plaid cotton blouse with poofy sleeves on: July 27, 2009 03:23:10 PM
This is such a beautiful blouse! It's so clean and polished and, really, who doesn't love poofy sleeves? But I think I have to agree with your niece on this one. Just one more button would be nice at the bottom. (Oh, and yay! for crafty males Smiley)

I just finished making my first crinoline/tutu-type-thing for a musical but it had to be plain and simple. Yours is Infinitely more fun and rock awesome!
