1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Crafty Penpals! on: September 20, 2009 03:06:10 PM
My name is Jodie, but I'm usually called pretty much anything else: Ruby, Jo, JL, Roadster, Baber, etc. I moved to the Rocky Mountains of Alberta on a whim last year and am loving living the adventure daily. I'm a nanny to two GORGEOUS boys, but my dream is to be able to run a really sweet non-profit one day.

I'm into the following rad things:

Musicmusicmusic. - I play drums and harmonica and rarely live a moment without a soundtrack. Just a few of my faves - Bob Dylan, CSNY, The Rolling Stones, The Black Keys, Kings of Leon, Woodie Guthrie, Akron/Family, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Iron&Wine, Cat Stevens, Michael Franti, Matt Mays, Fleetwood Mac.

Books. Reading is the best.

Good movies/tv - anything funny/quirky/sweet/cheesy/old.Although it is neither sweet nor quirky, it is DEFINITELY cheesy I have seen Dirty Dancing 48 times.

Skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing.

Clothes and makeup and lingere and such other girly and pretty things.

Dancing all night to reggae and funk bands.

All sorts of woodland creatures(deer and birds, especially).

Housewifery(cooking, baking, nesting).

Navajo/Native American culture.

Vintage everything(especially cameras and luggage)!

I'm your atypical hipsy gypsy, flower child, rock queen, free spirited, yoga babe, tattooed miss, heart of gold idealist. I'd love to trade frequent letters, small gifts, mixtapes, crayon doodles, etc. Would love to meet people from all over the world, but people from North America are most welcome as well - especially from the deep south(I'm from Tennessee in another life, I swear it).

These are adorable!
Yo gabba gabba is the visual manifestation of my brain on a daily basis.
Great job, happy birthday!

Just what a dorm room needs to be - bright, fun, cute.
Well did, girlie!

Pom poms and idols - what else does a bathroom need?
So sweet!

So so so so devastatingly chic.
I would never get anything done because I would just want to sip tea in bed and watch audrey hepburn movies all day.

I wish I had a space like this!
The colour, the view, the bee!
So perfect.
Happy creating!
9  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: Cherryblossom Toilet Transformation! Before and After on: August 31, 2009 01:00:23 PM
Oh my!
That colour of blue is my favorite - whosoever would have guessed that those blossoms weren't painted on, nonetheless came from a hardware store.
So charming!
10  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Mini Hair-combs with pretty feathers and buttons! on: August 31, 2009 12:58:33 PM
I have a wedding to go to tomorrow with nothing for my hair.
I will be crafting one of these on the 14 hour drive there.
I especially love the vintage buttons.
The turquoise one is so good!
