1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / STAR WARS MANDO QUILT AND PILLOW SHAMS on: January 15, 2011 05:46:42 AM
I am actually calling it a bluilt or a qlanket, since technically it is not so much a quilt but a blanket but since this is only the second one I have ever done, made entirely out of upcycled materials from my house and my sewing machine busted towards the end I think I have earned the right to call it whatever I want.
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / END TABLE OF AWESOMENESS! on: April 01, 2010 01:56:48 PM
I bought this table about 5 years ago for $1 at a neighbors yard sale and it has done a variety of dirty jobs around my house.  I have no before picture to show but picture this...tan legs, a maroon top that had paint, markers, and some wierd looking ring on it ...not the items themselves but scribbles and just yuck....so armed with a can of paint, and some pics I repurposed this crappy old table into a crappy new table that I love...

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Easter / EASTER BOXES? on: April 01, 2010 01:51:07 PM
I had two hours to myself today and Easter being only a couple of days away, I thought to myself....hmmmm...do I want to buy some WalMart basket that has almost no use after Easter?  Heck No!  So...I made collapsable Easter basket boxes thingies, you can untie them and fold them up or they can be used for a variety of things.  Alright they can be used to hold stuff...but they were free and and easy (despite what you hear that was not my nick name in high school).

here you go...

this one is for my 6 yr old, she totally loves the Simpsons.

for my oldest, I think at 14 she is aware of the status of the Easter Bunny but she still pretends for her little sister's sake

and last but not least, my 12 year old, and yes it is filled with lip balm and crafty goodness.

thank you for looking
c & c appreciated
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / PREPARE FOR AWESOME [Barney, How I Met Your Mother] on: March 28, 2010 04:48:31 PM
As I mentioned earlier on the NCIS swap board, I used up some crafting karma and mojo .  I was anxiously awaiting my NCIS partner announcement, and sketching up my Tarot card ideas when I remembered my sister's bday and her love all things Barney Stinson (How I Met Your Mother).  So I present to you .......prepare for the awesome....

of course I do need to learn to work a little smaller from...he is made from completely recycled everything right down to his stuffing!
He holds The Bro Code audio cd's as read by Neil Patrick Harris...Barney himself!
and his pose is his signature straigtening of the tie....

feel free to c & c
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / TRYING MY HAND AT CLAY TO MAKE JEWELRY on: January 16, 2010 05:07:40 AM
so I have a problem if someone else can do it so can I!  so when I see everyone sculpting with clay I think I can totally do that...here  are my first attempts at jewelry and I am pleased for the most part..

This is my Jack Valentine choker and I think he turned out cool, the camera makes him a little shinier than he is.

and his noodly appendages...all hail the flying spaghetti monster...this is my favorite .
6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / LAST MINUTE CHRISTMAS GIFTS on: December 05, 2009 06:35:34 AM
so I of course waited until the last minute to start making christmas presents, 2 jobs and 3 kids will be my excuse for this delay in crafting...however what I have so far is some quilled xmas trees and some tree of life ornaments.
take a look

7  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / REFASHION T SHIRTS INTO BABY SWEET PEA GOWNS on: December 05, 2009 06:25:25 AM
Everything I do is from recycling, I am a huge penny pincher and well that pretty much says it all so I did the sweet pea gowns from old t shirts, I found a link for it on another site which I of course can not find again.

here is the after picture though whoo hoo
8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / QUILLIN KEEPS ME CHILLIN on: November 29, 2009 11:03:49 AM
I don't sit still well, every minute has to be filled with something productive so even when I ride my exercise bike I have to be doing something, normally a papercraft..which led to my love of quilling and to the linked quilled christmas trees...hope you like...the pics stink but that is the way it goes

I have made three so far and I love them..
