I love the second one, and it gives you the option of changing the colors of the buttons for different seasons, or moods, or whatever.

THANK YOU so much for sharing this pattern and your photo. I can't wait to make this for my sister's boy due this summer. Her husband loves hats and was wearing this style the first time I met him, so it will be perfect for their little guy!

Gorgeous baby!

Thank you for posting such a great idea! I see many sets of this game in my future.

Can you please tell about the interfacing you used? Was it heavy-weight? And to make sure I understand, you put interfacing on each and every square, so two pieces per finished "card", right?

10  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Homemade Laundry Soap ** With Tute! ** (picture heavy) on: March 21, 2010 11:39:10 AM
Nymeria, Thanks so much for taking the time to respond to my post about a weird result here. I think I did not stir the first half of the water, the borax, the soda, and the melted soap long enough. I ran my hand through the mixture and didn't feel any grit, but I know I only stirred for a minute or so.

I don't mind that the stuff looks weird (or unlike yours) now that I pulled my stuff out of the dryer...the blanket and dish rags smell like absolutely--nothing--like they should! My husband sniffed them and is totally on board!

Thanks again for the tute.

Oh, for anyone who wants to know...It took me about 30 minutes to make this recipe the first time, including grating and melting the soap. (Though now it looks like I should have added some stirring time!) Anyway, you can get this huge bucket of excellent laundry soap in much less than an hour!
