you just move the yarn to the front under the needles.  it wont make anything look funny or anything, i promise!
2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Rebatched Goatsmilk Soaps on: November 14, 2005 03:59:17 PM
I just ordered from her and decided to check to see if anyone on craftster had any experience as well.  Did you add more oils to the base?  where did you find the recipes?  thanks!!  your soap looks marvelous!

thanks for the advice, everyone!  and that link is great, lothruin.  the big joann's here is kinda far away, but maybe the dinky one will have some sugar and creme.

are you making your soap, katiad?  i was going to include some melt and pour soaps, but was hoping to add something to them to make them a little nicer.  of course i really have no soap making experience so i have to do some research still.
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: liquor labels on: November 11, 2005 11:46:07 AM
miss november- the limoncello was really yummy.  i love lemonade so its like lemonade with a kick.  i've also made the comparison that  limoncello is to a lemon drop (drink) as dom perignon is to brut.  im thinking of making it again, and not giving any away.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: how do you let a muggle down nicely when they ask you to knit something? on: November 10, 2005 05:22:13 PM
i just started knitting and  haven't had too many requests yet, well except from the boy who sees me knitting and realizes how long it takes.  i'm sure you are all finding the knitty email in your boxes, but thought i'd bring it up for those who dont.    now there are cards, so that you dont have to say anything-  http://www.cafepress.com/knitty.37127068

i made limoncello from 'get crafty' last year and just used rubber cement to stick the labels on the bottle.  it worked better than labels printed on sticky paper for me.

i'm also curious as to what liquor you are making...
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / crayon washcloths on: November 10, 2005 03:49:53 PM
I am thinking of making the washcloths in weekend knitting as christmas gifts and am wondering if anyone can recommend a nice, yet cheap, yarn?  I was looking at knit picks crayon, as the bright colors would make fun sets, but read on another post that it doesn't wash very well.  i dont want to give complicated washing instructions along with the gifts.  any ideas???  thanks!!

10  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Party Decor and costume (lots of pics!) on: October 31, 2005 06:29:36 PM
the house i live in has a huge halloween party every year, but this was the first year that i have actually lived in the house.  i took charge of the decorations with a halloween loving friend.  here are the results
the porch

close-ups of the porch

the highlights of the interior

and finally our costumes

we left the outside decorations up for the trick-or-treaters (sans knives) and have had several little kids kicking the deadman to make sure its dead.  i hope we arent giving anyone nightmares about dead bunnies!
