41  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / My purse!!!! on: July 29, 2009 12:40:45 PM
So one day I was really bored and didn't know what to do. I had leftover yarn from various projects and I wasn't working on anything. So I took 3 different kinds of yarn (hot pink, electric blue, and raven black Cheesy), twisted them together, found a large hook (don't remember what size Sad), and just started crocheting. After a while, it got bigger(hmmm, I wonder why...). So I decided to make a purse.

The back of the purse. I can't find a picture of the front.

Every purse needs a lining. The only fabric I had that matched any of the colors....

Anyway, after everything was sewn up I put blue ribbon handles and a black pocket on the front. It was nice and big, perfect fo r a school bag..
42  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / Some pages in my scrapbook... on: July 29, 2009 12:27:16 PM
I apologize for my horrible picture taking skills Smiley
My aunt got me a kit for Christmas last year. (Woohoo free supplies!) I'm just now getting started on it.
Here is the cover:

I'm holding the book up for protection. The camera doesn't like my hair, and it was going to try to kill me because of how horrid it is.
First page:

I did a page on all of my sisters, then a separate one for each. Becuse I love them Smiley
Second page:

Mi familia!

I have more pages done, I'm just too lazy to post them right now Smiley
43  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / PILLOWS!!!! :) on: July 19, 2009 04:00:42 PM
Every year my family and I head down to my grandma's for VBS (vacation bible school)
My granny makes pillows for all of the kids that go there (including us!!) She makes about 150 each year. Every pillow has a toy in it for the kids. Helpers can get them too!
My collection over the years. I'm too old for classes but I get to help!
The stuffed animals seem to like them....
...but the monkies and I like this one the best.
What I like most about giving the kids pillows is the smiles on the little ones faces when they see their new toy. Their eyes shine as they take their stuffed animal out. It makes me think they are imagining the adventures they are going to have with their new friends..
44  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Fabrics.. on: July 03, 2009 03:13:27 PM
In my free time (free time meaning I don't have a project I'm working on) I like to "make" my own fabric.
I guess it's not "making" fabric. I just use it for lack of a better word. Hmmmmm....reconstruct?
So I had these three different fabrics, all of them fuzzy....tehe.....
I didn't like the pink or the purple fabrics alone. But I do like checker board patterns, and I thought they would look cool together.
This one I reused materials. Woohoo recycling!!! I had old pajama pants that I cut into shorts. So I used the leftover materiel from the legs (that's the Tinkerbell fabric)
The pink heart fabric was a shirt that was too small. The black and gray striped fabric was left over from a project my parents did. They made room dividers and had all this fabric leftover.
At the moment it's still a pinned up puzzle, and is a death trap to anyone who tries to touch it...

I don't know what I'm going to make with either of them. I'm thinking of making a jacket with the checker board kind....
45  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Nifty Little Hat... on: June 25, 2009 12:04:31 PM
I knitted this. It's a nice little hat. The band was knitted with size five knitting needles. The rest of the hat(grey, black, and red part) was made with size eleven knitting needles. The great thing about it is that it's got big loopy-ness(not sure of the technical term). That way I can wear it when it's elevendy-billion degrees out.Cheesy
I didn't have a circular knitting needle, so I kind of improvised: I used shoelaces. It was kind of annoying but it was better than nothing.  I Thought it turned out okay.
Here's the veiw from the top.
Tehe it turned out stripey. I like stripes.
Only one bad thing...
I bet the birds are thinking, : "Oh look. Target practice."
*crickets chirping*
Ahem...well, uh...tough crowd.

Let me know what you think!
46  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Weird Knitted Hat :) on: June 25, 2009 07:36:23 AM

My Mom Knitted This Hat For Me.
Since Most Of My Knitting Projects Are Far From Completed, I'm Posting Hers. Cheesy

Another Picture Smiley

(please ignore the crappy self taken photos Smiley )

I Don't Really Know Everything She Did(Sorry For The Lack Of Information) But It Turned Out Really Cool, In My Opinion. I Think What She Did Was Knitted A Giant Rectangle, Then Sewed It At The Sides Somehow...
Inside Out.

The Seem Only Shows Up On The Inside Of The Hat. Ninja-Tastic Tongue

She Twisted Two Yarns Together To Get The Right Texture, And...Umm...To Make It More Creative. Probably To Make It Easier To Work With Too.
One's Thin And The Other One's Thicker.

The Tassels Are Braided.

The Edge Is Mostly Purlpe-ish

The Rest Is Blue And Black.

Oh, I Forgot To Mention. It Is REALLY Fuzzy And Soft And Warm And Fun To Cuddle....
