1  UNITED STATES / Missouri / Call for Crafters: June show at the Moxie Cinema, Springfield on: March 09, 2010 09:29:28 AM
The Moxie Wholly Craft! Show to be held Friday and Saturday Jun 4 and 5 at the Moxie Cinema is now accepting applications from interested crafters. Space is VERY limited and this is a juried show, so the more detailed the response, the better! Full tables are $25 and pub tables are $15. Application deadline is April 2.

If you have any questions, please contact Whitney at whollycraftshow @ gmail.com.

This event is not affiliated in any way with Wholly Craft the business. Wholly Craft is also the name of an unrelated craft business based in Columbus, Ohio that has been in operation since 2005.
2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Lets See Pics of Tattoos You Designed! on: November 20, 2009 08:25:15 AM
Wow! There are some great tattoos around here!

I have been meaning to post mine:

The black work was outlined about 10 years before it was finished!  I finally got it finished for my 30th birthday and added the scissors and scroll a couple months later. The scroll says "measure twice, cut once."

Here's a little embroidery:

Can you see the hidden "T" for my husband's initial?

Here's my most recent (though not craft related):

This tattoo is very special to me.  I got it after struggling with two years of unexplained infertility and pregnancy loss. I just wanted something pretty to remind me to just hang on a little while longer.  I got pregnant five days after getting the tattoo!!! And I am typing this with my month old son in my lap!!!

From the original doodle I made at work:

In fact, I just realized most of my tattoos come from work doodles!  HA!
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: I need your help decorating my camper! on: June 16, 2009 03:11:29 PM
We have a decidedly non-vintage teardrop trailer with wood sides and very little space (here we are camping a couple of weekends ago!), so not alot of help in the decor department.  But I wanted to point you towards the Teardrops and Tiny Travel Trailer forums where I have gotten lots of technical help on maintenance and traveling in a wee trailer.

Welcome to the world of tiny trailers!  Enjoy!

Can you re-roll other ribbons on empty spools?  I re-roll film on old spools when I need a certain size, maybe the same thing could work for this machine!
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Abominable and Krampus, the grumpiest x-mas ornaments ever! on: November 15, 2008 08:26:34 AM
Thanks everyone, it is nice to know people like them as I am stitching two dozen belly buttons!

The snowman reminds me of someone else on Craftser, Loveandasandwhich.
hehe I don't know It just did.

Oh, my you are right!  Who knew so many people would put nipples and belly buttons on their snowmen!  I assure you they developed pretty organically from some other ornaments I was working on here.  Not to mention hers are way super cuter!  I am pretty flattered that you think mine are in the same league!

Thanks so much!  They are really fun to make!

Abe and Krampus are made of fake fur, felt, and bump chenille for the arms and legs.  I won 200+ yards of bump chenille on ebay and it was alot of the inspiration for these guys.  Krampus's  limbs are vintage bump chenille and Abe's look very much like what you can find in any craft store, so I don't think it is vintage.

I am doing a holiday craft show and an ornament swap.  I didn't want to get too cutesy with my ornaments, so here's the Abominable Snowman:

He is still pretty cute, but will probably bite your head off.

And my favorite holiday meany, Krampus:

And here's the terrifying duo:

They still need a ribbon loop on their heads and Krampus will be also carrying a bundle of switches on his back.  You know, for switching all those naughty children.  Now I am on to mass production!  Phew!

I would say maybe three hours start to finish.  Not long at all!

I have a craft show coming up this weekend and need some signage for my table.  I saw this tutorial for a newspaper bunting awhile ago and thought I would give it a try.

Here's mine:

a close up:

I Mod Podged it because we'll be outdoors and I want to get lots of use out of it.  I want to make it triangles like in the tutorial, but my stencils are huge and it was easier to square them off then to try and squeeze the letters on there.

Oh, and just for giggles, here's my table model, Opal.  She got a paint job and a new cheapo wig for the show. Sorry she is nudie, she'll be wearing a shirt and holding the others at the show!
10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Angry Panda Army on: August 04, 2008 11:59:55 AM
I used a Print Gocco, which is basically a toy screen printer.  It has flash bulbs that burn a screen from your image and then you can make a bazillion prints!
