1  Toddler spider costume in Halloween Costumes by worn wasted on: October 26, 2011 01:52:49 PM
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
This year my 3yr old daughter decided she wanted to be a spider. And this easy, inexpensive (most items purchased at the dollar store) costume is the result.

I sewed a felt hourglass in black widow style to the front of a $1 sweatshirt.

Sewed black feather boas into the side seam and tied together with yarn for the legs.
(being a bit bashful here)

And hot glued googlie eyes to a $1 hat for the extra spidery eyed goodness.

She seems to like it! Wish you all a safe, fun and happy holiday!

2  Re: Local Attraction Swap in The Swap Gallery by worn wasted on: September 15, 2011 09:23:31 PM
I received my package from my partner amymarie78 today. She's from Cochranton, PA. Never heard of it!  Wink But I have heard of Punxsutawney Phil and that's just who so happened to grace my shirt.

Amy and I decided to swap 2 shirts (one for us and one for each others child). In my case she got me 2 for my DD. My daughter loves the Halloween shirt!

And last but not least she made this adorable embroidered hoop. Pretty excited about it. I have big plans of having a collection of hoops on my wall someday.

*gasp!* and do you see that?! Who's hiding amongst the trees? I didn't even notice it at first...
It's a teeny tiny Bigfoot!

Thanks for the great package amymarie78! And thanks y'all for another fun swap.

Received my monster from lanikins today!

Isn't he the cutest?! I love his little antlers. Awe!

He also came with a woodland friend! A tiny green deer. It's funny because I've been wanting to make one of these deers for awhile now.  Wink

I just love my new lil monster n friend. They are great! Thanks again lanikins!

I would like to introduce you all to "Eugene" my darling new monster from susanab.

He's a Gardner who loves trees, flowers, and plants of all sorts.

My favorite thing about him is his little flowered pants. They make me giggle! Smiley

I think he's just fabulous! Thanks again, susanab.
And thanks everyone for another great swap!

I received my awesome lil box from fabricfriend the other day...

here it is looking all cute wrapped up (the paper is a sewing patter)! Note the lil lady bug? He wanted in on the picture too.  Wink

It's a teeny tiny freakshow in a box!

All the pictures are so neat.

And this bonus pic just makes me laugh! My 2 year old sat and waited patiently while I took pics but could only take it for so long before helping herself to the goodies.

Thanks Fabricfriend! And thanks everyone for a fun swap.  Smiley
