Here are some pics of my fab Package 1 from Jen. I am even more nervous now as she hasn't received mine yet!

Lovely card made by a fellow Crafster!

Some close-ups!

2  Billy Bookcase in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by NickyDee on: October 20, 2009 03:44:18 PM
I needed some new bookcases so I went for the IKEA Billy Bookcase in white as it is the cheapest model in the UK.

I also bought metres and metres of the white IKEA fabric with green and black birds on it, I plan to use it in the kitchen too.

It took me an entire afternoon to build the bookcases and apply the fabric (possibly due to all the tea breaks I took).

I covered the backboards to the bookcase with the fabric, I used adhesive spray to hold the fabric in place.

The hardest part of the whole process was actually sliding the fabric covered boards into the bookcases without them getting stuck or the fabric bunching up, but I managed it in the end.

I really love the end result, the tops of the bookcases are now covered in plants too! I need to take another photo to how this.

3  Re: Show Off Your Hair! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by NickyDee on: June 18, 2009 12:06:15 PM
Pink is my absolute favourite hair colour

I'm back to black at the moment though as I am visiting my parents soon and I get so much crap about the pink I just cannot be bothered, will be pink again when I get back. I normally start off by adding a bit until I end up with pink all over, then I go back to black and start again!  Cheesy This is my hair now, except I am about to cut a fringe in in after I eat my tea, to punk it up a bit!

4  Quilt Top Finished - What Next? (with pics) in Quilting: Discussion and Questions by NickyDee on: June 16, 2009 02:16:42 PM
Hi everyone

What a great forum! I love looking through everyone's work here.

I am halfway through making my first ever quilt! Don't think I have ever sewed this much. It is for my BF his birthday is in 2 weeks.

I have finished the top. I am grateful to all the members here without this website to read and be inspired from I would never have even started it.

The question is? What next? I am unsure what to do. I have a lovely fleece blanket that I wish to use for the back. Should I just sew the top to the blanket? Should I add wadding? I am constantly worried about messing it up!

I don't have a very fancy machine, just a basic a workhorse.

Here is what I have done so far...
