1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Steampunk Jacket and Skirt on: July 17, 2012 05:57:53 AM
I made this pattern about a year ago, but it didn't turn out nearly as neat. Very well done!

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / One day Semi-Formal Dress on: April 29, 2012 10:43:47 AM

It's been forever since I've posted here on Craftster, not that I haven't been sewing constantly over the last few months. I just wanted to get some opinions on a dress I made for my school's semi formal dance a little while ago! This dress was a very last minute sort of project, but I was very happy with the results.  Smiley

Unfortunately this is the only photo I can find from when I was making the dress, but maybe I'll stumble across a few more later! This is the top before I added the "skirt". I also made another separate petal/skirt that you can just see in the next picture. I do kind of wish I had made it more "semi-formal" but I guess super short skin tight dresses that I mostly saw at the dance aren't quite my cup of tea  Tongue

This is at the dance  Smiley I had a lot of compliments from friends when they first saw it, and quite a few more when they heard I had made it! Thank you for looking and I appreciate any comments!

Happy crafting,
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Finally finished short corset! on: February 21, 2010 05:28:00 PM
*whew* I've been working on this forever now. Just one of those projects that are off and on. It's from McCall's 4861.

I love the pattern of the fabric and the fabric's weight, but it's definently not for shaping. Friday was the first time I got the courage to wear it out and the compliments were great! I've started another, fuller corset and hopefully this one won't take a year^.^ Thanks for looking!
