1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Is that a book or a cunningly disguised electronic device? on: June 08, 2011 11:43:34 AM

I saw something similar to this on Pinterest so had to have a go. I made a little photo tut too, don't know if it's much help to anyone! No sew, I used my glue gun for the whole thing. Man, I love that thing.

Apologies for the not so hot pics. I am not gifted in that area. If you have any questions though, just ask!
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Teeny Tiny Purse on: May 12, 2011 10:40:05 AM
Here in the UK we call wallets, purses and this is my new one! I wanted something small, but big enough to hold a decent amount of cards as well as coins, but I didn't want them to bash together. I also wanted a zip. Here's what I came up with!

My fab caravan fabric! Anyone who knows me knows I'm obsessed with caravans and I bought this fat quarter and saved it for ages until I decided to make a kindle cover out of it. And cut it out wrong. Ah well, the scraps found a use!

The card slots.

Size comparison.

That won't fit in there you say!

Oh yes it will!

This was a super easy project and took me about half an hour. I think I may need more...
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Little Lucy keeps your secrets! on: May 12, 2011 08:12:28 AM
For my friend's 30th birthday I got her a lovely Ruby necklace but I wanted to put it in something special, so I made Lucy!

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Ipad cover! on: May 12, 2011 08:03:32 AM
My partner has received so I can finally post the iPad cover I made!

My partner wanted something that folded over to protect the iPad, could stay on whilst in use and had a handle and this is what I came up with:

With fake iPad!

It folds back on itself and the velcro holds it secure.

It's cotton lined with fleece on the inside and thick mount card on the outside. I made one for my kindle and I love it!
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / The Great Caravan/Trailer Makeover! Pic-tastic! on: March 04, 2011 11:34:56 AM
Not sure if this is the right place to put this, but finally I've made over my caravan! I bought it in September, but it's been way too cold to do anything on it until now. And this last two weeks I've been using every free minute to get it done! Even though we don't have any trips planned until April.

Onto the pics!

The before's:

The after's!

The map wall! I'm so pleased with how this turned out especially as it only cost 3! It's not entirely accurate though, Dundee is now off the coast of Anglesey...

My fave pic.

My hoops from the lates hoopla round!

The outside! The next project...
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Caravan/Trailer applique on: January 06, 2011 08:29:36 AM
I'm pretty sure this is the wrong plae for these, but oh well...

I am DYING to start on my caravan makeover, but it's waaay to cold. Top keep me occupied and reduce my scrap pile, I've been making these beauts:

What do you think? Colour combo's too random?

C&C's much aappreciated!
7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Cafe de Ruby on: January 03, 2011 12:01:25 PM

My daughter had long since grown out of her plastic play kitchen, so for her third birthday, I thought I'd make her a new one!

The raw ingredients, three bedside cabinets and an Ikea kids table and chairs.

A couple of cans of spray paint and some wrapping paper later!

With the bits and bobs I've been collecting (I LOVE the mini bin).

She loves it! Grin
8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Elf village! on: November 23, 2010 08:01:08 AM
After scooting around the christmas board today I came across this https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=349892.0 and had to have a go! And as I'm a tad poorly I though it would be something fun to do with my 2 year old whilst we were stuck in the house. Of course she got bored pretty quickly and I was still fully engrossed an hour later.

These are where the elves are going to stay when they come to put up our Christmas tree.
9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Cross Stitched Cartoon Characters on: July 27, 2010 11:40:53 PM
Recently an ICT teatcher friend of mine posted a pic on facebook of some cartoon characters he'd made in Excel. They were awesome. My first thought? "I can embroider those monkeys". Not that they were monkeys. You know what I mean. Anyhoo, on to the pics:

I did this one first and sent it as a card to my pal. First time i've done cross stitch since school!

This one I did not with cross stitch but a diagonal type stitch, which I'm sure there's a real name for. I realised the stitches were so small, they didnt need the cross of the cross stitch. Saved me time and thread, woo hoo!

There was also a super mario one which went very wrong when I picked out all the back ground and the tried to super glue the aida where I'd accidentaly snipped it. I ended up turning them into a badge and car hanging, which I forgot to take pics of. I'm going to start it again though, cos it was looking so darn cool.

Wow, the stuff in this challenge is amazing! I'm wowed!

Here's my entry, it's the coffee date dress from the burda site, a little summer dress for my DD and a crochet bag all from a bed sheet I got from a carboot sale for 50p! I usually wear the dress with a nice tan belt and pale green cardi, but it was just too blinking hot.

Hope you like and well done everyone!
