1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: My crafty 10-10-10 wedding thread! UPDATE 7-28-10 new pics!! on: July 29, 2010 12:03:10 PM
I'm as off topic as it comes, as far as my name,
I was a weird child to begin with (before I discovered crafts and I was actually really smart as long as I didn't have to sit still) I did get made fun of and my name made it easier.
Now-a-days I think names are going in a different direction (apple, pilot etc) so I think Williamina would be a cute lil girls name, she could be willow! oh the possibilities!

My guy friends do call me willy/billy/mean- ah etc. But I wouldn't change it for the world! My mother is Melvina (melvin) and my aunt is vincenette (vincent) so I feel really lucky my dad was a William!

oh and it can be Wilhelmina (wilhelm) But thats far too hard to spell for a lil kid!

WOW! I love it! If I walked by your apartment I would definitely take a picture of it!
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: HELP with Aisle Runner! on: June 21, 2010 01:01:42 PM
I saw a runner online made out of silk flower petals, ya know like the ones that come in a box. They had pinned the long string of petals to the carpet in the church with stick pins. They later hung the strands from the pillars at the reception. Cheap yes. time consuming yes! Imagine how much fun you could have if you made those coffee filter flowers and strung those together and just laid them down each side of the isle?
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / My crafty 10-10-10 wedding thread! UPDATE 7-28-10 new pics!! on: April 04, 2010 05:41:21 PM
I thought since everyone is posting there ideas I might as well, none of them are top secret.  We chose 10-10-10 because I like even numbers! I'm from Bismarck ND and he was born in California and the air force stationed him two hours north of my hometown. We met on MATCH.com, yes it does work if you are patient.
We are getting married at the Science Museum of Minnesota (a favorite spot of mine in St. Paul)
We booked a smaller room because of the small number of guests (30?).
This is the room we booked, Argon of course!

We chose a very amazing abstract photographer! Check him out at Kofoto.net!
here is his main page picture:

We are ordering one lil wedding cake that will look something like this:

I have these kind of cake stands one big one, two middle ones and one very tall one:

I also picked up a cake serving set and flutes on sale at herberger's because they were tarnished!
not the actual picture of the flute because I'm clumsy and don't want to ruin them:

and the cake set, you can see how bad they need a polishing jk, they were an older model I guess. oh well its a bargain any way you look at it!

I bought one of these vases at herbergers:

I also was given loads of decorations from my sisters wedding.
I took her extra napkins and stamped them and I want to put the date on there too (the only really crafty thing I've done so far!)

I bought these shoes in silver (Chinese Laundry- Balwin)

And last but not least my ring I am one spoiled lil girl! (I traded in some diamonds to pay half so it wasn't THAT bad!):

 ***** UPDATE!!**********

here are all of the things I have made so far! I'm almost got everything done!

Stickers for our favors, cup cake in a jar

card box

cake topper:

the corsages and bouts I made (all in one evening)

my Bouquet:

the one floral piece that got carried away!

I made this shadow box for our picture, its some of the roses he has given me:

I decided I really didn't like the stamped napkins so I sent these through my cuttle bug to match the invites!

And at last, my dresses. I decided I wanted a short dress for the reception/museum!

C+C welcome and thanks for looking!
6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: California Residents! help please! on: March 17, 2010 05:59:51 PM
Thank you!
I found that when a venue emailed me back about a closing they had included at least 5 other venues that were along the same lines!
I got a tip about an out door park that I'm really excited about! But I'm afraid I'm going to have to change my date Sad
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / California Residents! help please! on: March 16, 2010 06:28:47 AM
I'm planning on getting married on 10-10-10 (of course) but the only thing is I don't have a venue!
I'm only having about 20 people and want a bar or restaurant, we are all over 21, that has a patio or a roof top. Any one know of such a place?

I was really hoping to book the Chabot space and science center's planetarium (we are huge geeks) but is $5000!!! Thats almost my WHOLE budget! for that kind of money we can buy our own telescope!

I'm from North Dakota originally and I really have no clue where to look for a venue! My fiance is from California and wants to get married there!

thank you!!

ps I'll be posting an official wedding blog tonight after school, but now I have to pretend to be an adult going back to school!

10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: 50 projects a year 2009! on: January 01, 2010 09:23:09 AM
I saw this in about august of 09 and I thought to myself I wont post a comment because I don't make that much in a year... but last night I went through the pictures of the things I have made for my hair school (that I started in november) and I think I made 100 domino pendants but I counted it as one after going through everything I ended up with over 100 projects :O I never thought it was possible so thank you and I'll be sure to post as I go this year!!
