11  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Question about Simplicity 2600 on: February 20, 2010 09:22:23 PM
Hey there! I am about to embark on only my second attempt at patterns although I have sewn a lot, just usually make my own as I go. I am wondering if anyone has tried out Simplicity 2600, the weekender style bag? I am planning on making this for an upcoming trip and am a little nervous so was hoping for some tips or some help of some sort. Was it easy to follow? Did you have to alter anything?

13  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Tshirt Yoga pants on: January 24, 2010 04:50:57 PM
I fell into the yoga pants craze and wow it really is easy! I followed this tut https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=299282.0 It is a great tute and easy to follow. The only thing I did different was cut the shirt shorter so they were more like yoga shorts and made the waistband sort of fold over Smiley Ignore the horrible bathroom lighting

Boyfriends shirt is now this:

C&C welcome
14  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Ongoing Altered Journal pages swap on: January 24, 2010 11:06:19 AM
I didnt see anything in search but thought it would be cool to do a swap like the ongoing ATC swap but for altered journal pages. Like one person posts some themes they like and the next person will claim them for one of the themes and then post their list and so on.
15  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Peace Skirt...totally wearing for 4th of July! on: January 12, 2010 08:29:57 PM
I have sewn one zipper my whole sewing career (only like 7 years) and to say the least, it did not turn out. So I went out on a limb and tried my hand at it again with my regular sewing foot since I do not own any others and it actually turned out! I love my new "peace" skirt and totally plan on wearing it out for 4th or July and probably before that! Let me know what you think. Thanks for looking!

17  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / My printer is not printing on my transfer paper for embroidery! Help Please! on: January 09, 2010 02:56:29 PM
So I purchased some Wash Away Iron on Transfer paper for ink jet printers to use for embroidery designs. I have an ink jet printer Smiley I am printing on the plain side not the side with the line down the back. Nothing is showing up! I have been tinkering trying to figure out what I am doing wrong and cannot for the life of me find what it is. I have read through this board and read online and nothing yet. I am hopeing you guys can provide some ideas for me maybe that I have missed?

The only hint of an image I am seeing is super light and faded to where you kinda have to be looking less than an inch away from it and its just for the first 3 or so inches on the page then nothing.

20  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / If I only had a brain on: December 10, 2009 01:22:40 PM
I took sculpture over the last semester at the college I go to. Our second project was Model/Casting and I decided to make a brain. It has to encompass organic as well as geometric features. I went with how different the 2 sides of our brain are. I first made it out of clay, then created a mold by applying plaster, I then filled my mold with cement and taa-daa! I painted it black so that it doesnt take away from the lines. Size wise it weighs about 12 lbs and is 12"x7". Let me know what you think.

Thanks for looking!
