1  hanging earring holder in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by darcangel on: July 17, 2007 11:19:14 AM
i saw an earring holder made from a branch on a blog a while back, but it had a base. it was beautiful but i don't have any room on my vanity for anything else to sit so i decided to use the branch idea but just suspend it from the ceiling with fishing line. i thought about spraypainting the whole thing white or red or something. anyway, let me know what you think, if you have any suggestions, i'm not totally attatched to it, so any input would be appreciated. thanks!

2  extreme bordom bracelets in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by darcangel on: September 03, 2005 06:42:21 PM
i made these little makeshift bracelets with a needle and thread and a few magazine pages. all of my real crafting supplies are underwater in New Orleans!! ahh!!!!!!!!

PS when i made these, i put a layer of plastic (from a ziplock bag) between the strips of magazines, and that kept them from pulling and tearing over time. just so you know. i'm sure so many people are sitting there going "I MUST MAKE THESE!" right?

as soon as i get some pretty fabric scraps, i'll cut off the magazine strap and make fabric ones. i'll post new pics, too.

3  rockin the hawk. in Completed Projects by darcangel on: August 20, 2005 11:03:37 PM
introducing to the craftster forums: Joseph, my bobble headed cow ::cue awesome guitar solo in background::

a while ago, i gave him earings, but i recently decided Joseph needed another hot new look, so i crafted a mohawk for him. i mixed up about a tablespoon of paper mache and molded the spikes one by one. then after they dried, i took a nail file and smoothed them down a little. i gave him black roots with blue tips and E600ed the spikes in place, thus making him THE coolest cow (in my car). check it oot!

next on the agenda for joseph: a "branding" (read: stencil and spraypaint) of a little star on his side.

4  just a long chain =) in Beads: Completed Projects by darcangel on: August 01, 2005 03:04:34 AM
i had this realization today...that sometimes i really only craft so i can post it on here and get comments, hahaha.

internet-comments are so much cooler than real-life-comments.

so anyway: here's a long glass bead chain, it's one solid loop. you can wear it as a bracelet with five or six loops, or a necklace with two. feedback!!

9  Re: Old VHS tapes? in What the heck can I do with THIS? by darcangel on: June 21, 2005 11:18:07 PM
like 5 years ago, i made a curtain out of mine. and um i kind of, like, totally love it  Smiley Smiley Smiley

it took a lil while to make, i just measured the height of the doorway, cut a WHOLE HELLA LOT of strands of the VHS tape, then just stuck them one by one to long pieces of scotch tape, and stuck the tape to the curtain rod.

it's put in as a room divider.

here's how it's hung. the curtain rod just baaaaaarely reaches, so it's actually hanging from those hooks.

so, and then, to make a doorway, you i just clip it back with a hair clip, like so.

just remember, the tape is flamable, so don't light candles near it. um. unless you want some insane excitement.

Ok, pretty dissapointed in this stupid bag but here is my take on it.  I used the basics here: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=24610.0

This bag was a lot of work and I wish I would have used a different fabric.  The lining is pink also.

Anyhow, here it is...

And a close up...

THIS IS ADORABLE!!!?!?!?!?!? it looks like a little halter dress! i love it so much, oh my gosh how cuuute. ::gush::
