is a friend of mine, a pic taken at my prom afterparty a few years ago.  added the mohawk.

i just got a bunch of free (yay) scarves, and one of them is sheer white fabric that says "i love jesus" in gold all over it.  i'm not religious, but i really want to use the fabric for something good, possibly a shirt. i have about 2' by 5'7" of it. any ideas?

6  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / metal extension pole (for painting) on: May 04, 2005 02:12:57 PM
i have two metal extension poles that id like to give some use.  problem is, the threads to attach the roller dont come off and neither does the small hook at the end (used to hang it up) and it's covered in white plastic that wont want to come off.  the good news is that i can cover it in fabric or whathaveyou.  i want to make something cheap with them that will use the height they have (i already have a spot in my place picked out).  i was thinking about maybe making a "tree" out of them but what could i use as leaves (no money to buy fake ones)?  any suggestions on this or other uses are really welcome and appreciated.  thanks so much!
7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / mixing paint and primer? on: April 30, 2005 10:00:06 AM
this is probably gonna sound like a really dumb question, but can i mix paint and primer?  i only ask cuz i need to mix a grey using only the colours i have on hand (have ZERO dollars to spend). i have a matte black, which is awesome, but i need a grey to go with it and i need to know if i can toss in some white acrylic and white primer (cuz i have limited white acrylic...go figure) to the black to get my mix.  is it gonna make a wierd texture, etc?  help on this, or any other tips would be greatlly appreciated.
8  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Checkered walls.... on: April 17, 2005 08:52:50 PM
i'm trying to figure out the best way to paint checkers on my wall, but im not sure the best way to attempt it...i want the checkers to be small, about 2.5 inches by 2.5 inches...how can i make sure that they're straight, and neat, considering i dont have a ruler, or straight-edge, or whathaveyou that's the length/width of my wall?  any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...
9  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / dollar store tiles on: April 04, 2005 05:13:59 PM
i bought these for a buck each from a dollar store a few years ago...what do i do with them?  i'd just use them as coasters, but they're not smooth...any ideas would be really helpful...

after seeing all the stuff people were doing with ties, i got inspired and made this pillow.  the next one is going to be stripes instead of squares, in the same fabric so it matches/doesnt match...

also, forgive its messines...i had to hand sew, since i have no machine...
