5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Pipe Cleaner Dogs! on: June 14, 2010 10:08:50 AM
Fuzzington, these are amazing! When I first saw the thumbnail I thought they were real dogs & the post was going to be about clothing for dogs, or something like that. I only clicked on the thumbnail because I thought "What cute little doggies!" I had NO IDEA they were pipe cleaner dogs!!!

Well, this isn't the first time you've heard this said, but I'll have to reiterate what others have said: "Wow, OMG, this Rocks!" and then some!!!

BTW- to hgddm: You wrote (referring to your own attempts at pipe cleaner art) "I probably should have posted it in the crafts gone wrong section."  Is there a "Crafts Gone Wrong" section?Huh I actually looked, but couldn't find any place called that. THAT is where all my stuff would get posted!!! If there isn't a section for Crafts Gone Wrong maybe we should get one started? I've got a lot of quilts that were supposed to be rectangle shaped but mysteriously became trapezoid shaped by the time I was finished stabbing all my fingers with sharp needles! LOL! (No, but seriously!)

Fuzzington, you and your cute little doggies ROCK!

6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Steampunk Curio Cabinet on: June 12, 2010 08:37:45 AM
Wow!!! Very cool. My favorite "insect" is the Dominatrix Domino Bug! LOL! (I have a stash of old dominoes & now you got my creative juices are flowing!)

This is very clever & so much fun to look at. Thanks for showing it to us!

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Soft Toy Handbag on: June 01, 2010 06:57:55 AM
Great idea!!! We see those "pocket book animals" in the stores all the time and they are soooo expensive.

Now that I can see how easy it is to make these myself I have the answer to what to do with my grandson's collection of hundreds of stuffed animals that are piled up everywhere!!!

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: old mens shirts to awesome bag on: June 01, 2010 06:54:42 AM
Ahhh!! These are so cute I want to scream!!! What a clever idea! And I like that you used every part of the shirt to make these totes.

It's great that you took something "masculine" and turned it into something so "feminine"!!! The shape is awesome, like a dress with a bow bodice!!! Is the opening elasticized so it can stretch open more?

Great job, Lynn! Thanks for sharing these!  Smiley   Smiley   Smiley
9  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Hpnotiq Cocktail Cupcakes with Toasted Coconut Buttercream and Pineapple Gele on: May 31, 2010 06:58:13 PM
I LOVE coconut!!!!  I LOVE pineapple!!! TOGETHER? OMG!!!

These look so great. I want one right now!  Smiley

Muffins are my most favorite thing to bake- because if I screw one up while decorating I still have 11 more in the pan!!! (and I have to eat all the "mistakes" myself because I can't serve those to guests! LOL!).

These would be worth messing up a whole pan full just for the excuse to eat them all myself!!!

Great job, Calliel!!! Thanks for the recipe! YUM!!! Smiley   Smiley   Smiley
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Death by Yarn on: May 31, 2010 06:43:05 PM
LOL!!!! Anything with the tag "This project includes mature content" always gets a double click from ME!!! 'cause I am so nasty like that I just have to see something naughty or at least not nice!   Cheesy

Yours is a triple click worthy!!!  Cheesy

I am "old school" horror flick genre- grew up watching Saturday afternoon Creature Double Feature back in the 60's (and you'd better believe I was sober enough to not only enjoy those days, but remember them, cause I was still under 10 years old! LOL!!! and I watched that stuff on our monster Zenith black and white TV!)

Alfred Hitchcock Presents? Couldn't get enough! Twilight Zone? Oh yeah, baby! One Step Beyond, Outer Limits, Dr. Shock, Hammer Horror, Creep Show, Tales from the Crypt,... give me more!!!  Tongue

and guess what? I turned out perfectly fine!!! (Bwwwwaaaahhhhhaaaahhhaaaa.... Tongue)

Anyway, I love this! It is like classic Hitchcock in Yarn!!!

Death is part of life (the end part and, oddly enough, also a beginning), and yeah, sometimes death is gruesome, cruel, and macabre. But it's real, it's here, and it's not going anywhere soon. So, we may as well have fun with it where and when we can- while we can!!!

Good job, Tarizoo!  Cheesy
