1  Re: The Sketchbook Project Craftalong 2010 in Craftalongs by trebleclef on: July 22, 2010 06:39:13 PM
This is my first page -

It's intentionally cartoonish, because I thought it matched the fabric more.  The outline of the couch is done with two strands of thread, and the fabric is lightly stitched on.

2  Fill A Trick or Treat Bag Swap? in New Swap Theme Ideas by trebleclef on: July 22, 2010 06:21:50 AM

So, I really want to participate in a Halloween swap because I love halloween, but both 13 Days of Halloween Swaps are too big for me financially.  In this swap, you would either buy or make a trick or treat bag, pumpkin, pillowcase, etc. and fill it up with Halloween crafts!  Anyone interested?  I'm almost able to organize, my second swap should be finishing up soon.

3  Re: June 2010 Birthday Swap - Discussion and Gallery in The Swap Gallery by trebleclef on: July 19, 2010 04:35:08 PM
I received a totally amazing package from doyouloveanapple and she totally spoiled me! I didn't get the best pictures, but here's a few:

everything together, wrapped in an adorable paper

that sadly got torn up in my excitement....

a dark picture of three amazing clippies for my hair (i wear clips almost every day!) (my flash didn't like them....)

an action shot of the amazing feather headband that i'm creating an outfit around tomorrow

you can also see in the first picture some wool roving to needle felt, i love love love the bright colored ones! she also included three needles for felting which i desperately needed.  and candy! i <3 canadian candy, especially aero.  and i'd never heard of smarties, but they're a little like m&ms

thank you SO much doyouloveanapple! i love everything so much and you definately spoiled me!

5  One Tiny Eureka Thing Swap in New Swap Theme Ideas by trebleclef on: July 12, 2010 02:35:37 PM

There have been boards for a Eureka swap before, but as far as I can tell, nothing ever happened.  If there is interest, I'd be willing to organize after my current swaps are through, which will be in the beginning of August.

8  Cat in the Hat costume in Halloween Costumes by trebleclef on: August 14, 2009 04:50:14 PM
I've decided (at least for now) that I'm going to be the cat in the hat for Halloween.   As a 17 year old girl, I don't want to wear the big furry cat costume, so I'm looking to make something along the lines of the romper shown, with a white tummy of course.  I'm looking to make it more of a linen or stiff cotton rather than terry cloth.  Are there any easy ways to make this? Pattern ideas, etc.?

Also, how would be an easy way to construct a sturdy red and white hat that will easily stay on? Thank you!
