I used to hate handstitching the binding too but I recently found a great tutorial that not only made it go faster for me but also made my handstitched binding look better too.

I only really referred to part 3 but all parts of her tutorial were great!

Hehe, these are adorable and made me smile! I love the "All flakes welcome" saying. Great job on both!

Love the colors in your daughter's quilt! Seems perfect for a pre-teen girl and I am impressed that she did the patchwork!

I love your minky appliques! So soft and cuddly and freaking a-dor-able! I might have to try this soon. Nearly everyone I know is pregnant or had a kid in the past year so I gave up trying to keep up and make baby quilts for all of them... maybe I'll give it a try again.

Thanks for the post about Quilt for Kids. And your froggy quilt turned out very cute. I signed up to get one of their kits and plan to check my stash tonight to see what kid-friendly fabric I might already have at home!

Great colors. It looks very snuggly!

That's huge! But it looks very warm & cuddly. Great job. I am working on my own Mario quilt for my man and it's taking forever.

I love your robot fabrics! Perhaps something like this would tide my husband over until I get his Super Mario quilt done.

I also have a super old Singer (model 774) that died while I was working on Christmas presents. But the point of that is I have a walking foot for it. The machine is my mom's old machine that she says predates me and my older brother (he's almost 32). I am not sure at what point she purchased the walking foot but you might want to try a regular old Singer walking foot. Worth a shot, right?

Love this! The colors and the non-traditional pattern are great

Ooooo, I love this! I also really like using bright colors for babies and kids. I love the machine quilting, I'll have to try that on my next quilt
