31  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: I Want A Winter/Holiday Bag! Swap on: December 06, 2006 12:22:20 PM
I received a sparkly handbag from shelbybelby today.  It is made from my fave Christmas time colors, blue and silver.  She even threw in a sentimental ornament for my tree.  Now I just have to get the thing up.

The handle is beaded along with a cover for the button.  Gorgeous.

I'll let her post her better pics.  I can't seem to take a great pic of it.  I love it though.  Thanks.

Can't wait to see the pics.  I'm almost finished.

I love it.  Yes on the fringe and pearls.  I can't think of anything but a lamp to make.

As for the second bottle, send it to me.  My DH would love that. LOL
I am going to have to find one for him.

This has a whole list of dresses.  I'm going to check out a few.

Anyone else?

I have so many ideas running around in my head.  I think I have the final one that suits my partner.  She's a difficult one, lol.
37  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Gifts For Grandmas? on: November 12, 2006 05:39:52 PM
HMMM.  This one is difficult.  Here are a few ideas that I would have for my grandma...

A holder for all those plastic store bags.  I make mine out of fabric, but I could see someone knitting a rectangle and closing it up to put bags in and pull them out the bottom.

A purse, doesn't have to be an elaborate one. Just a basic purse for carrying everday stuff.

Hat, mittens, scarf, and socks.

My grandma loves this stuff....Anything with all her grandkids names on them.  I have made her sweatshirts, t-shirts, and handbags, all with their names and birthdays.  She absolutely loved those.

Hope you get some great ideas.  Grandmas are special.

Not sure if you guys still read this....

What kind of fabric did you use?  Did you reinforce the fabric?

39  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Easy Toddler Pajama Pants! on: November 12, 2006 04:25:40 PM
You can tell he likes the second pair the best.  Those turned out great.  I can't ever seem to get the inner seam right on pants.  Thank God my DD likes dresses better.

What a great guy!  I wish my DH could sew.

Maybe a nightgown, long sleeve t-shirt.  You could even recon one.  I'm not good on clothing.  I mainly stick to household items and purses.  You could make her tons of those.

Good luck.
