3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Skyrim/Elder Scrolls Swap? on: December 15, 2011 08:11:43 AM

Skyrim, and the Elder Scrolls in general is a massively popular game, kinda surprised I haven't seen a swap for it yet.
I don't know if I could organize it, but it should definitely be done.
Any one else interested.
4  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Wee Little Pumpkins on: October 10, 2011 06:54:04 AM
The season has inspired these. The white one I made as an experiment last year, two orange I just made. Not even baked yet. Waiting til I get some more stuff done to bake em all at once.

More pictures and a small tutorial on my blog.
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Captured Stars and other Recent Creations on: July 26, 2011 07:11:23 PM
I've been kinda busy recently, not so much hours to be had at work while all the school kids are taking them all. So I started making some jewelry.
With the recent opening of the Hobby Lobby in my area I had to go check it out. While there I found this star glitter and I knew I could use it.
Fast forward a week or two and I remember I have these tiny little vials. And here's what happened.

A while back I saw this tutorial on an Anthropology styled necklace. I liked it, but I wanted something a little more simple. Made from leather scraps.

I got these beads with the star glitter. Presto! Dangle earrings.

And the ever so popular multi-chain necklace. I dig the mixed metal and layered look. I'm thinking about removing the brass chain since it looks too much like the gunmetal and it kinda throws off the necklace a little bit.
6  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Recent Projects Dump on: July 26, 2011 06:58:49 PM
Okay so I definitely haven't posted anything in a very long time. The past week or so I've actually made a few things. So this is just a collection of everything I've created the past year, with the majority of it being very recent.
First up, my mini mushrooms, which were created from my efforts to find something people might actually buy from me. Also, I think mini shooms are adorable. They are quite tiny. I know it's really blurry, but the comparison picture is on top of a dime.

Next up is a little stump with a snake on it. This is actually kinda old, made it over the winter. I love snakes, especially when they look cute. The stump is black because I didn't have any brown at the time, and I figured it'd create a nice little cantrast.

My first try at introducing textures onto a sheet of clay. The leaves were actually made by a little metal leaf charm from a necklace I bought at Walmart a while ago. Then I scraped some bright green chalk pastel onto it for the color.

And more textures. This one I created with an exacto knife for the lines and the ball chain necklace to make to little dots. Decided to make it into a necklace/earrings combo.

And lastly, a very plain pendant. Not sure why the picture make it look so red. It's really more white with red and orange powdery swirls, again created by the chalk pastels.
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Sam's Hoodie on: November 29, 2010 06:38:36 PM
Here's a brief bit of info before pics. My dog is a picky eater, therefor she is quite skinny [though I'm fattening her up now, found food she likes]
It is very cold where I live. So I made her a hoodie. I told myself I'd never be one of those people who put their dogs in clothes... but... yeah.
On to pics!
Here's Sammy looking not so happy. She had to pee.

Hey! whatcha doin?

Aaaand, action shot in the snow.

8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Leather Bound Books on: September 28, 2010 10:17:54 PM
Not my first attempt at binding my own books, but definitely my best. Only other time was kind of a disaster for a friends birthday. She loved it and that's all that matters.
Both of these are made with leather remnants and the paper was just torn from various sketchbooks.

First.  My favorite. Love the color and closure the best.

The second. I spaced the page groups [I don't know the technical term. heh.] too far apart, so it's a bit off.

P.S. If this is in the wrong place sorry, didn't really know where it went. Feel free to move it to the appropriate place.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Militry Inspired Pants on: September 04, 2010 12:29:35 PM
I've had this super stretchy military-green colored fabric sitting around for a while and had no idea what to do with it. Going through my stuff today I picked it up and was hit with an idea, I should make some pants. I've made lounge/pajama pants before, but I wanted to try something with a zipper. In all my searching I haven't found a pattern I really like, so I kinda winged this based off a pair of nicely fitting pants I already had. I had to modify it a bit after I finished because I didn't like the way they fit in the front and the darts I made in the back were part of the waist band and it was all kinds of awkward. So I tore off the old waist band and whipped up another one that was a little wider and lined with non-stretch cotton that I also used for the pockets. And I shortened the front. I love em. I feel really proud that I managed to make something so nice without a pattern. You can't see em in the pic, but I used some great military-esque buttons, too.

I wore em to the beach the other day, so I could get some nice pics. Lake Erie <3
10  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Geeky goodness on: July 24, 2010 12:19:20 PM
I made these both a few months ago, but neglected to take proper photos to upload here.
If anyone remembers my post in December of the hearthstone necklace I made for my man, these are both along the same lines.
First up, a Paladin hammer. My man plays a Human Paladin and is very much enthralled with it, it was the only thing he played for the 4 years before we met [he also has a warrior now]. I really wanted to do this with yellow instead of blue, but I don't have any yellow clay. The white clay has a bit of black in it to give it a marbled look. Don't mind the fact it looks dirty, it probably is, he wears it all the time.

Next up, a necklace for me. I happen to play a Night Elf Druid and I love it more then anything. I'm the barking kitteh of doom in the guild, and the only Cat druid that raids with us. So here's my necklace. The symbol is the one that appears on my cats shoulder. At some point between making this and baking it, something seems to have bumped the one side of the white design, but the damage wasn't too bad.

Both are quite small. The hammer is maybe an inch long, and the Druid symbol is probably about the size of a nickel.
