Wow!  So many great packages.  I've been away on vacation in a town with no 3G network and an overloaded hotel wifi network.  My phone would only connect to it between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m.  Lucky for me, I came home to find a beautiful package from Fascinated.  She sent me two lovely items knitted by none other than Molly Weasley!  I cannot overstate how much I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the colors!  Here is the gorgeous cell phone pouch:

I have posted the beautiful "Muggle" coffee cup cuff in the private swap gallery:

Thank you, Fascinated for the beautiful package.  Pinkleo and jenniegram, thank you for all your co-organizing work!

Fascinated and I were partnered for the One Tiny Harry Potter 3 swap.  She sent me this coffee cup cuff as an extra item.  In staying with the spirit of an OTT swap, we will consider the extra a private swap item.  I love the colors so much and her stitching is lovely.  I can hardly wait to use it.  Maybe I'll crank up the A/C and brew myself a cup just so I have an excuse.  Smiley

4  Owl backpack in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by flower on: June 17, 2012 01:24:15 PM
This owl backpack is for my nature loving son's 9th birthday.  It's made from two pairs of pants, a sweater scrap, and straps taken from an old bag.  The bags at http://thaihandmadecrafts.com were my inspiration.

Brief Description: Two pairs of old pants, a sweater remnant, and shoulder straps chopped off an old bag = birthday present for just the cost of the thread!

6  ruffled baby bloomers in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by flower on: June 08, 2012 08:12:28 AM
I made this for my daughter's first birthday.  I took fabric squares from a defunct WIP and sewed them into ruffles.  I then attached the ruffles to a pair of bloomers.  I only had red and black thread in the house, so I had to do some creative sewing to hide the ugly colors.

Here are the bloomers I used for the base.

Action shot of the birthday girl.

7  Re: HP Craftalong ~Summer Semester 2012~ *twist trial* in Craftalongs by flower on: June 07, 2012 07:14:49 PM
It's been a busy week in this wizard home!  I spent a couple hours in detention finishing my transfiguration homework.  Then I took my little wizards and my baby witch to Diagon Alley for some shopping and a birthday celebration.

Class: Transfiguration
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Patchwork pillows
Brief Description: I bought several quilt top pieces off of ebay and had to find something to do with them!  I posted a patchwork pillow a few pages back and finally got around to making five more.  I know it's a lot, but I bought several Christmas throw pillows at a yard sale and wanted to use them year round.
Project Picture: I forgot to take a pic  I will post one tomorrow.

Class: Care of Magical Creatures
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Pygmy Puff bracelets
Brief Description: I found a jewelry stall and just had to have these bracelets made of Pygmy Puff fur!
Project Picture:

Class: Herbology
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Wands
Brief Description: My boys are heading to Hogwarts in the fall, so we stopped at Ollivander's to get them each a wand.  Made of the finest ash trees, paper mache, and spray paint money can buy.  Smiley
Project Picture:

Class: Muggle Studies
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Dancing With the Stars skirt
Brief Description: We stopped by Madam Malkin's to pick up a new skirt for my baby witch's birthday.  We found this cute, flouncy little thing that looks very much like a skirt from the muggle show Dancing With the Stars.  It is actually a pair of bloomers with several rows of ruffles attached.
Project Picture:

Class: House Unity
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Chocolate Ice Cream Cake
Brief Description: We ended our trip with a chocolate ice cream cake from Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream shop, complete with a birthday candle for the little one.  We chose chocolate, just in case we met up with a dementor.

Class: Transfiguration
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Patchwork pillow
Brief Description: A few months ago I bought unfinished quilt top pieces from a Muggle store called eBay.  You can buy anything Muggle there!  It is truly fascinating!  Anyway, I took my favorite piece and made a pillowcase today.  It was just enough fabric.  Smiley  I think Mrs. Weasley would like such a pillow in her home.  I also did another, less exciting transfiguration project today.  I cut and hemmed five pairs of my son's jeans into shorts today.  I wish I knew  mending spell because almost all of them had holes in the knees!

Wow!  Everyone has such great packages.  As usual, nmcakemom07 spoiled both me and my kiddos!  First, she sent matching Garcia-inspired headbands for me and my daughter.  I couldn't get a decent picture of myself wearing it, but you all just want to see the cute baby, anyway.

She also sent a set of dino finger puppets for my boys.  They love them, especially the little guy.  I tried for ten minutes to get a good picture of him, but every one of them was blurry.  He was roaring and "attacking" with his fearsome carnivores.   Cheesy

10  GRIMM themed Teesha Moore laptop sleeve in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by flower on: March 11, 2012 11:58:57 AM
I made this laptop sleeve for AMYoung3 GRIMM/fairy tale swap.  I forgot to take pictures, but she was kind enough to let me use hers.  This is my first Teesha Moore project.  I made a lot of mistakes, but I also learned a lot.  My next Teesha project will be cowboy themed pillow for my sister.

Aunt Marie's trailer.

Ceremonial bear claw from the Bears Will Be Bears episode.

Blutbad snack.  This doesn't relate to an episode.  I just thought it was kinda cute.

Siegbarste gift, a poison used to kill ogres from the Game Ogre episode.  This one is my favorite.

The sleeve also has a few other interesting patches, but I don't have pictures.  One on the upper left has two silver toad charms attached.  Those are from the Lonelyhearts episode.  The Ziegevolk (goat-creature) grows toads in his garden and eats them.  The other, right below it, says Tempus fugit.  This means time flies in latin.  It was inscribed on the front of an abandoned building where Monroe, the clockmaker, was attacked.  From the Of Mouse and Man episode.  The last is a Reaper patch with a scythe.

This cuff is made of puka shells and is inspired by the Organ Grinder episode.  I really wanted it to be part of the bag, but it just didn't fit.
