1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Rainbow in the Dark on: May 16, 2010 04:39:40 PM
I've never really been much of a painter, I like to play with it once every couple of years, but after the sad news today about an idol of mine (Ronnie James Dio) I felt like painting something, anything! And this is what came of it:

And pardon my foot in the photo Smiley
Thanks for looking!
2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Spring is showing! (Kinda img heavy) on: April 23, 2010 01:20:56 PM
I just got a brand spanking new shiny camera, and so I thought it would be awesome to test it out, and here are some of the results!

3  COOKING / Dessert / Cake Spiffyness! on: April 01, 2010 09:07:35 PM
I wanted sooooo much to post this yesterday, but I had to wait.  I made this cake as a surprise for my best friend, who got married yesterday! I knew if I posted it on here she would have seen it lol.  It was a lovely and very small ceremony, but I felt that no wedding could be complete without a cake, so here it is!

Thanks for looking!! Also... sorry for the mess in the background, I am not at all the neatest baker, and I make a wicked mess with a mixer! haha
4  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Little Pooh Bear on: March 19, 2010 02:33:35 PM
I got the basics of needle felting down, so I though I would test out my skills.  I had recently read a book called the Tao of Pooh, and loved it, so I decided to try to make a little Pooh bear of my own.  These are the results :

Thanks for looking!

5  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Just FELT like trying it! *groan* on: March 15, 2010 04:13:14 PM
This was my first try at needle felting, I saw the stuff when I was out, and just had to have it!

At the risk of making too many "dad" jokes, here is my very first "heart felt" project.  Grin

I started with the ball, learned it on the tutorial here by GraceOblivious! Thanks so much for the tut!
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Spring Bracelet on: March 11, 2010 08:29:17 PM
It's been beautiful weather here for a few days, so I was feeling rather spring like.  It inspired this bracelet!

Thanks for looking!
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Just in time for spring!! on: March 08, 2010 05:34:58 PM
I finally finish that nice warm wooly scarf I started way back in December to keep me warm... just in time for some wonderfully warm weather  Undecided lol

There isn't a whole lot fancy about it, but I'm proud of it, because a good friend of mine taught me to knit, and she has helped me along the whole way, fixing things I've messed up or botched really good... except this one! I managed to complete a whole project on my own! Woo haha.  Must have been all that awesome teaching!  Grin

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Floating Necklace on: March 07, 2010 12:19:06 PM

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Isn't this just rosy?! lol on: March 06, 2010 09:01:52 PM
I've been having troubles deciding what crafts I want to do, I'm all over the place, there are so many things I want to do and try.  So I thought I would just start off "small" lol
This is my first ribbon rose!

10  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Granola! on: March 06, 2010 08:51:23 PM
My other half loves his granola breakfast cereals, but they can be pretty pricey so I thought I'd try to make my own! I found the recipe here : http://www.artisanbreadinfive.com/?p=390

I replaced the raisins (since the other half doesn't like them) with dried strawberries, and also used dried kiwi and pineapple with it! I over cooked this one just a tad, but it still tastes really good!

Thanks to Kaitlinnegan for telling me about the healthy bread in five minutes a day, and Artisan breads in five minutes a day, because it also lead me to this recipe for granola!!
