lindseyeatworld- my husband was a groomsman in a wedding last summer and his gift was a leatherman micra. Tiny and available for twenty dollars on amazon.com. That thing is so awesome and handy!
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: SHRINKY DINKS on: February 03, 2009 07:40:24 PM
I'm wanting to buy some shrinky dink to play around with... and I found this website which sells the stuff...but what I'm wondering is what is the difference between 'clear' and 'translucent' shrinky dink?

Here is the website: http://www.hasrub.co.nz/product_info.php?products_id=3715&osCsid=e8ae2f6020ebcb6526f298481a53b8fe

I'm guessing that the clear is clear, and the translucent is not. I.E. The translucent will show light through but not be clear once shrunk. It will probably have a white background when shrunk.

based on the closeup pictures the clear seems to have a slightly Grey or Blue tint to it.

I think that's whatever the plastic is sitting on for them to take the photo.

Thanks! I actually have three of the guns in a box in a corner waiting for me to get around to redoing them. Smiley

You can always do what Banga did and hire someone to work up the design and then you can print it yourself.
5  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Where the Wild Things Are Costumes WIP - lots of pictures! on: October 07, 2008 08:26:43 PM
Martha Stewart just showed a chicken costume for a small child made out of two leotards sewn together and stuffed, then covered with feather boas. That might be a starting place [perhaps not the boas, but a batting filled pair of leotards covered with something scaly]. Project is here

Oh...ok, that makes sense.  I just didn't think that they usually had 5 people doing them.  Guess that post was also a bit of a spoiler...since it's telling us that Kenley didn't show...argh!  Didn't want to know yet Sad.

Six folks showed at Bryant Park this year from Project Runway. Kenley, Leann, Jerell, Korto, Joe and Suede. Everyone that was still in the competition [as far as viewers knew] at the time of fashion week. Last season, Chris March there was 1 dummy show, the season before that there were none [all four competed at Bryant Park], the seasons before that there was 1. For some reason the timing was way off this season, so there are three dummy shows.

1 word: mii's.

Make a mii themed wedding of your own mii's!!!!!!!

cake topper... markers, etc.  THAT WOULD BE SO FREAKIN CUTE

Oh, Paul Pape makes awesome mii cake toppers [a little spendy, but so freakin' cute!] He also makes chocolate miis that are much less expensive, although they are flat on the back so rigging them to stand on top of a cake might be tricky. Of course, you could also make your own if you have some polymer clay skills!

I'd say for female hip hop think Da Brat, Missy Elliott and Eve.

Best advice I was given? Don't plan anything for the first month. Just enjoy celebrating your engagement for that month, and then start in.

wow I love everything you've done! I was thinking of canning jam for a favor since I dabble in canning but 120 cans!? yikes thats a lot of canning...

You could totally do half-cups instead of half-pints. The 4 ounce jars are super cute. You'll probably average 14 to a batch of jam [varies on jam recipe yield, obviously].
