I tinkered a little, I hope you don't mind. I'd simplify the info a little bit [but I am something of a minimalist.] I think when the words "save the date" and a pair of names are present people understand a. that there is a wedding coming and b. that you will send them an invitation later. Here's what I whipped up here in the past 10 minutes:

I've worked with the print-it-yourself temporary tattoo paper and it is tricky at best.

It looks awesome:

but you print on one layer [which can get crumpled in the printer] and then have to lay an adhesive layer over it. It's hard to get it smooth and bubble free and then you have to cut it out. I made that one, a full sheet sized one, and 2 dozen small ones and it took me forever to get them all cut out [you need to cut close to the outline]. It was fun, but if I had had to make 100 of them I would have gone crazy.

I have a backlog of pages to post because I fell behind and life got nuts.

First from minanina:

Love the little 3-d dragonflies.

And next from GG [who posted the front earlier] I took out her name and city because well, it just seemed like a good idea.

And then from A-Roze, which you also see above. It is actually super fitting because right now is a big ending for me. I left grad school and next week is my last week at the job I've had for the past four years [which means it's also an exciting beginning for me as I strike out on my own as a freelancer.] So, super fitting!

Since Heini has received my make-up page and Racky's records show that Reen-Reen also received from me, here are the pages I sent them:

For Heini, the front:

I like using the terrain view and then knocking the saturation down in photoshop so it gets all fade-y. This is cropped for a very specific use, and zoomed out [it links to a .pdf map on the site we're using it on.]

I've been remiss in posting my pages. These aren't the best photos [sorry guys, limited daylight yet!] but here are my lovely pages from LGD and Heini.

I received a page today from Katxena! It's lovely in its orange-red-brown-purpleness. I love the moth/butterfly on the front, and the reference to tea totaling on the back (or am I reading too much into it?) made me laugh.

Here's the front:

and the back:

Don't you guys just love them? I'm thinking of the single invite card, with the text in dark purple, the floral in a pale purple on the butter paper.

Purple's hard to get to look ok on screen, but here's purple on purple.

Okay Banga, I got you covered. Wink I just did the design work, Banga's going to do all the printing, so her finished colors are going to be different than what I used for the layouts. I also worked out the options for both a folded invite and a single sheet invite.

RSVP Card Front:

RSVP Card Back

Single Sheet invite

Folded Invite front

Folded Invite Inside

It was great fun to do, and great to help build my portfolio for these kinds of things.

forgive the links! crafster doesnt support flickr! i didnt know that!

You can, indeed use flickr to post photos here. Here is a post I wrote about how to do just that.

Here's the most recent thing I've spun:

8 ounces of superwash merino, in light worsted to worsted weight. It's from one of the old Crown Mountain Farms rovings, in the colorway Hang on Sloopy.
