1  Toyota T-Shirts, using heat transfer Vinyl in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by HelloMel213 on: June 19, 2009 01:31:26 PM
Okay, so first off, I work at a Sign Shop, which gives me access to vinyl plotters, so I ordered up red and white heat transfer vinyl to spice up some t-shirts. The instructions state that you need a heat press to stick the vinyl on the clothing, but my co-worker and I wanted to try it with just a regular iron, because we don't have a heat press in the shop.
So this idea led me to make these Toyota shirts for my boyfriend.  He LOVEESSSS Toyota (and owns two Toyota Vehicles), and we both agreed that there aren't many decent Toyota shirts out there, so I came up with these.  I finally got them done today (his birthday is tomorrow).  Getting the vinyl to stick was a little tricky, and it does take a lot of patience when just using an iron.
Anyway, here's the pictures.

And the Back:

and a close up of the letters:

JDM is Japanese Domestic Market, which is Japanese Branded Goods, including Automotive Parts.  He calls himself "JDM" because he has a Toyota Station Wagon that was re-built completely by parts shipped over from Japan.

And here's his obsession, Taking in downtown Chicago. Smiley

We had some vinyl left over, so we cut some extra goodies which I will put on more shirts, or purses etc.

Fabrics use were remnants from the Craft Store, and the inside is a light pink color, which used to be a skirt.

Thanks for Looking. =)

3  A Zippy Pouch I'm proud of! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by HelloMel213 on: May 19, 2009 04:32:41 PM
Just a simple pouch that turned out near flawlessly. I was also able to make the zipper looks pretty decent without a zipper foot (It's MIA!)  I used this tutorial: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=22875.0

5  Mosaic Birdhouse [Couple Pics] in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by HelloMel213 on: April 19, 2009 09:57:17 PM
Hey Everyone! This is my first posted Project and I'm excited!
I needed to get something for my Boss, for her birthday. She is REALLY hard to shop for, but appreciates anything you get her. She likes to garden & be outside, so I felt like a bird house was the perfect Idea.
This was my first Mosaic, and I'm happy with the results.  If I would of had more time, I would add more detail.  Either way, I think she will like it.

Here's the Pics:

My boyfriend helped with the massive hooks drilled in the top and the trim around the roof.

Thanks for Looking!
