1  Re: Craft with a Fat Quarter Swap Gallery (SO 4/18/11) in The Swap Gallery by clementinefairy on: May 02, 2011 01:53:47 PM
Look at all of the lovelies I received from Grimmscreed!

She sent a passport cover, a cozy that fits my phone perfectly, an adorable patchwork bag, a book mark, a key ring and two nice-smelling sachets I forgot to include in the picture.

The bag even has pockets!

And last but not least, here are my new fat quarters!

Isn't everything beautiful?

2  Re: One Tiny Stuffie Round 3 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by clementinefairy on: February 28, 2011 02:20:28 PM
It looks like everyone so far has made and received wonderful stuffies. I was thrilled to receive a package slip this morning which I happily exchanged for my box from happyface:) She even decorated the box! When I opened it up, I found pink tissue paper with my adorable germ nestled inside. It's a gangrene cell with a bow. At first I though it was a sea creature and then I read the duck shaped note telling me otherwise. You can't really tell from the picture but it's made with fleece so it's an adorably cuddly germ. I love it so much that it may be come the first in a collection of germ stuffies.

Isn't it wonderful? Thanks Happyface:)!

3  "Pets" in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by clementinefairy on: February 03, 2011 12:45:44 PM
I had an empty cage that I wanted to put a snail in but I couldn't find a snail so instead I made little felt pets. I currently have two little felt peeps and and a teeny kitty. Their home is decorated for winter with snow and a Christmas tree. I want to make a little baby peep too so I can have a whole peep family.

Here's a picture from the front with a spool of thread for scale.

Here's another from the side so you can see the kitty and tree better.

4  College Study Blanket in Quilting: Completed Projects by clementinefairy on: February 03, 2011 11:36:56 AM
My favorite lounge to study in is perfect, except when someone opens the door and the winter wind blows in. I needed a little blanket or something but I didn't have one. Luckily I had plenty of time to make one over winter break. I didn't really know what I wanted it to look like so I went to the fabric store and looked around. I bought the blue and green squares and brought them home to play with but decided that I didn't have anything quite right to go with them. I went back to the store and bought the middle fabric (which is sparkly!) and some brown bubble dot minkee for the back.  There's no batting inside so that it would be small enough to shove in my bag with my books but it's warm enough with just the minkee. The brown thing in the middle is my school's logo and it's made of  minkee scraps.

(Please excuse the wrinkles, it had been all folded up and I did't want to melt the minkee by ironing it)
