81  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re:Fondu?? on: January 21, 2004 04:25:50 PM
We have usually found the "canned heat" as they call it in the hardware section of the grocery store.   Also, you could try chain drug stores or maybe even a hardware store.

All this talk of fondue and no one has mentioned the broth kind.  I dont have any specific recipes but it usually consists of broth or a wine, onions, garlic, herbs, or any thing else to spice it up.  Ooh, I just found this one and will have to do it cuz my hubby and I LOVE ginger:

The best thing is, all you have to do is cut up the veggies.  Then you and your guests get to cook the meal while you talk and have fun.  It is a great meal for a party of four (depending on how big your pot is).

Cool!  Love the color combinations and they will go perfect with the quilt.

I have also seen a method where you melt several crayons in an alluminum dish over the stove in whatever combination you like.  Then you take thick paper or cardboard and dip one side onto the melted crayons.  Crazy but beautiful blobs get onto the paper.  Remember that black will melt into other colors and make them dull (known from experience).

Thanks for sharing.
