1  Re: TV Addict Summer Hiatus Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by schonwiedersamstag on: August 04, 2010 04:55:20 PM
Wow, so much was already posted and it all looks great. Love the Bazinga Shirt and the slap bet commisioner bag is really funny. But ...

... I received my package and I definitely couldn't have wished for anything else. It's the best, I love everything so much.

First there was a really cute card and some Buffy coasters. I hadn't told my partner that I always force everyone to use coasters so this was a perfect thing to receive. They will be put to good use.

Then (to stay with the Buffy theme) there was a Buffy monkey. It has a little label on the back, but I believe the little stake makes it immediately recognizable. It's also super soft (except for the stake  Grin ).

Now I unpacked this bag, which (even before seeing the little Dalek) I recognized as Doctor Who related. The pattern is so pretty and even people who have never seen DW tell me they like it a lot.

This might be my favorite item of the package. I wore it almost constantly since it arrived. I hope everyone can see on the picture that there are the letters for lost (and tons of other cool things) and - the best - a picture of Ian Somerhalder.  Cheesy

Then Sylvanna had a genius idea to integrate almost every single tv show I listed in the questionnaire. She made me stickers. I can't wait to put them all over my - and everyone elses Wink - stuff.

In the card she had writen that she had found something extra that was in the envelope. I really didn't know what it was and when I found out I was in shock. I have witnesses that can testify that I could not stop grinning. It's a John Barrowman autograph.

Thank you so much Sylvanna, everything is great and I love it all so much. I went to my parents house today and I had to carry it all with me just to show it around to everyone.

YEAY! I received my package and it's great.
Be prepared for lots of pictures   Cheesy

The first thing I saw when I opened it was this card with a map on the island on it
(it will come in handy if I ever land on the island and want to know where to go to play golf  Grin ):

Then I found out that I don't even have to go to the island, since I now got my very own version at home (sorry, I tried to get a better picture, but just couldn't. If you have one, that shows the amazing detail feel free to post it):

Also this dharma coasters were in the package:

Along with a huge amount of candy (but for some reason it's already less  Wink ):

I got some wine glass charms, which is perfect since my flatmate just bough wine glasses yesterday:

And now my favorite item, I love it a lot and already wore it today (i have picture as proof Smiley but the colors are a lot more like in the first pic ):

Thanks so much CamOovas, this has been a great swap.

Wow, I love what everyone else has already received ... but I got my packet yesterday and it's the best!  Smiley

First of everything together (with the lovely letter she wrote me and some supercute snowflake ribbon I got):

I've got a whole lot of bracelets, which perfectly matched my outfit when I opened the package. Coincidence?

Another super pretty bracelet I got:

A cross stich with my two favorite doctors on television ... I love how my partner (even though it was an Star Trek swap and I didn't tell her) incorporated my love for Doctor Who:

A captain Proton necklace, because Captain Proton rocks!:

And my favorite item:

I saw that Knot all there made a necklace like this in the previous swap and I had to wist it, since it's the prettiest thing ever.
Thanks a lot for everything. This has been a great swap.

Yeay, I received!

Scaramouche sent me some super cool stuff:

First, I got this magazine that tells me everything about David Tennant leaving the show

Then she made me this notebook with all my favorite characters on it (I had to take a lot of pictures to get everything!)

And here's my Favorite: A Tardis Shirt!!!  Smiley

Thank you Scaramouche!

This morning I was woken up by the post man delivering the long awaited package. YEAY. After it had been at my parents house, I finally had it and could open it.
Thank you iatro so much for everything, it's great!

First this is the box:

And those are all my extras and the letter I got with it:

In the box are little collectables ... Iatro, did you know that the writing on them is in German? They're super cute!

The bertie botts were in the little trunk, with a beautiful phoenix on top. I'm not sure how you made it, but it's stunning. (That's why it get's another picture):

A (phoenix?) feather and some jewelery with the four houses, and one with the slytherin crest:

And of course the coolest thing: My own marauders:

They are just adorable and they will definitely find a loving home at my place.

Thanks again Iatro. The package definitely made my day.

Since my partner hasn't send yet and wasn't online for some time  Sad, ariaya told me to go ahead and post pictures of what I made.
It's kinda weird because I'm still anxious if she liked it or not ... and I didn't expect to post my own pics either.

I made a reversible bag so you could hide the dark mark inside if you don't want to be recognized as a death eater:

Of course I made a scarf (even so my knitting skills are really really basic):

The necklace is supposed to resemble the opal necklace that hurt Katie Bell:

The first stuffie/plush I ever made. It's doesn't look exactly like a Thestral, but who knows since they are mostly invisible:

And the items I liked the most two tins:

I also send along the stationary set (pictured above) and some tea.
The picture of Remus and Sirius are from http://www.artdungeon.net/ (I love her hp art) and the marauders map - that might answer your question edwards1 and SpecialKRJ - is from http://www.britta.com/hogwarts/Year6/prep/map/.

It's monday!
And omg I got the best package ever. I officially adore you islandmum!  Smiley

When I opened it there was a really pretty postcard and the cutest wrapping paper (so I instantly liked the package)

I love the color pink and I love John Barrowman, so this is the coolest thing ever. Especially since I noticed just today that the bag I used to carry around all the time isn't lasting much longer. The bag is perfect, I will use it all the time.  Cool

And of course the other stuff is great, too. You can't see it on the picture but there is a different picture of John Barrowman as background on the notepaper. Thanks sooo much islandmum, you made this swap fantastic.
I just have to admit that I'm not exactly sure what the pretty star thing is.  Embarrassed

Thanks again, it has been great.

But I'm starting to get really nervous about the post losing my package or something. I think I'm going to call the post office and ask them (even though without a tracking number they probably can't tell me the whereabouts)   Angry

Thanks for all the nice welcomes.  Smiley

I started my list with this tutorial http://elily00.wordpress.com/tutorials/wallet/. I was looking at it for a long time now and so I finally made a wallet for myself. Well, I'm not completely satisfied since it doesn't look a lot like the one in the tut but I still pretty happy with it (I'm still in my learning to sew phase).

The second picture shows the colors a lot better. I'm sorry I did not take pictures during the process.

lovesclutter, I like the bead idea a lot. I think you should use beads in two different colors (maybe pink and gold like KimD said). It looks a little bit oriental, which I think is great.

9  Re: T-shirt with Jonas Brothers stencil in Stenciling: Completed Projects by schonwiedersamstag on: May 18, 2009 01:26:36 PM
I'm not sure if this is going to help you but I can tell you what I did.
I found this picture on the web:

Then I made this out of it:

I obviously skipped a lot of the detailing since I'm just a lazy person.
Did that answer your question?  Huh

10  Star Trek Shirts in Stenciling: Completed Projects by schonwiedersamstag on: May 05, 2009 12:51:55 PM
so this weekend two friends of mine and I went to a sci-fi convention and since it is only till Wednesday that the new Star Trek movie is going to be in the cinemas I just had to make T-shirts for us.
I'm not completely satisfied with them because the color did not stay always were it was supposed to. I'm also sorry that I don't have a better picture to show you.

I don't think a lot of people got the jokes on it (It's from left to right the new Chekov, who played "Charlie Bartlett" before, the new Kirk, who was in "Princess Diaries 2" and the new Spock, who is the bad guy in "Heroes")

I would like to hear your opinions about the shirts.
