1  Re: Japanese street style swap gallery in The Swap Gallery by Rosebridejaya on: June 06, 2005 07:12:52 PM
I also sent to Liquid.  She agreed to craft with two partners, since there was a mix-up with mine. Sad  The DC# says that her package has arrived, so I'll post pictures of what I sent!

(Daiconharuko, I totally love everything you made!  That's a hard act for me to follow! Wink )

She said that she liked the cyber/futuristic kind of style, so I kept that in mind and made....

Two pairs of earrings:

A bag with a CD sewed onto it:

A barrette, since she told me she likes to put things in her hair, and a keychain:

Woo hoo!  I got my package from Liquidscissors!  I really love everything, thanks so much! Kiss

Here's a cute bag made from a take-out container.  Yum yum! Cheesy

And here's a whole bunch of jewelry!  There are Barbie-hairbrush earrings, and a ring, bracelet and necklace with soda-top charm things.  (Is there a real name for those?)  The charms are interchangeable!  She made a whole bunch of soda-top charms so that I can switch them and everything.  I love love love them! Cheesy

Yay!  Thanks so much, Beth! Kiss

Woo hoo!  I got my very awesome package from SlyBettie today!  *does the happy dance*  I was so busy with my new job and crafting for another swap, that I totally forgot it was coming!  I was so happy when I got it! Grin

Here's everything altogether.  There's a jar of fairy shimmer powder and a beautiful fairy doll. (The pretty picture-thing is a card that she sent with the crafts.  I thought it was really pretty, so I put it in the picture Wink )

Here's a close-up of the fairy shimmer powder (In the most awesome bottle!  I really love pretty bottles and jars and things):

And here's a close-up of the gorgeous fairy doll she made for me.  She's holding a gem and has a pretty necklace with a pentacle pendant and quartz beads on it:

I really love everything!  Thank you so much! Kiss Kiss

5  Re: Reading Rainbow Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Rosebridejaya on: February 20, 2005 07:54:39 PM
*squeals*  I just recieved my package from Is She An Orange today! Cheesy  She sent me not one, but two bags!  And two books!  *hugs*  Thank you so much! Kiss Kiss

The bags are so cute!  A rainbow one and a polka-dotted one.  And the books are One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey and Girl Goddess #9 by Francesca Lia Block.  They both look so good, and I can't wait to sit down and read them. Cheesy

Here are the bags and books together:

Here's a close-up of the rainbow bag:  (I love rainbows!)

And here's a close-up of the polka-dotted bag: (It's perfect for my knitting projects!  I had to take my yarn and needles out of it just to take the picture Wink )

Now when she mailed them, she said she forgot to send the bookmark, so its on the way. Wink I'll have to post when I get it!

Thank you so much, Is She An Orange! Kiss

I'm glad you like the stuff I sent, Heroinechic!   Smiley  Those buttons were my favorites, too.  And I saw that you crochet, so I figured I'd send some yarn that I never got around to using. Wink

Any-woo.  I got my package from Mochiko today! *claps*  Here's everything altogether:

There's a bunch of really pretty, soft yarn (Yay!) and four really pretty silk (I think?) pieces with embroidered flowers and birds on them.  Here's a close-up on my favorite one:

Everything's gorgous!  Thank you so much! Kiss

7  Re: Alice in Wonderland Swap (Sign Up 1/24/005-2/16/05, Mail By 3/12/05) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Rosebridejaya on: February 12, 2005 08:32:07 PM
"If you are in Canada you can NOT send food goods to the states UNLESS they are homemade.  Even then, you need to be careful.  A stick of gum can stop your pkg at the border.

So the only problem is shipping food over the border?  Sending it within your own country is alright? Huh

i joined this swap and now that you've all brought up american mcgee, i just HAD to insert my halloween costume (i posted it before, but it's fitting in this thread now!). oh, and that KICKS ASS about the neon dreams movie!!

SheRa, that's a kickass costume!  I've always wanted to make an American Mcgee type Alice dress...

8  Re: "Ribbed for her pleasure" scarf in Knitalongs by Rosebridejaya on: December 27, 2004 09:14:05 PM
I started this a while ago with a different color of yarn, but ended up messing up big time and frogging the whole thing.  Here's my start-over!  I did this at my aunt's house.  All us girls sat around in her living room and knitted while having a chat, watching TV, and eating my homemade chocolate chip cookies.  Fun stuff! Wink

You can't really tell from the picture, but the yarn is white with sparklies in it. Kiss

9  Re: Powerful Wrist Protection (SnB) knitalong? in Knitalongs by Rosebridejaya on: December 27, 2004 08:54:33 PM
Erm...  This wristband was my first ever knitting project!  I had a bit of trouble switching yarn colors, so the star I made turned out looking more like either a maple leaf or an elephant, depending on who you ask.  It looks terrible, but the rest of it's alright, and  I'm so darn proud of it, I'm going to wear it everywhere!  I showed it off all day today. Grin

Sorry about the flash.  It reflected off of everything a bit too well...  My skin isn't really that pale. Wink

10  Re: Superfluous Messenger Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Rosebridejaya on: December 19, 2004 08:01:06 PM
could you give me an idea of the dimensions of your bag?!?!

Sure!  it's about 12 inches tall, 16 inches wide... the opening opens up about 5 or 6 inches when streched.

And here's a picture of the inside of the bag, like I promised. Wink  It's kind of at a diagonal angle.  There's a little pocket on the side, where I keep my calculator.  *is a nerd*   Grin  The little blue thing at the bottom is a scrap of the plastic bag of animal crackers I had in there... Have to throw that out...
