*Jon Goodman Meme here* Am I the only around here who doesn't like Matt Smith?!

Shocked Some might find that kind of talk to be blasphemy! But not me  Wink. I'm not a Matt Smith fan either. After nine left, I was disappointed and didn't think I'd like ten. I was completely wrong though; I fell in love with ten and he is hands down, my absolute favorite. I figured it would take me a few episodes to start liking eleven too, but I've finished nearly two seasons with him and he still hasn't grown on me.

I miss RTD and am kinda mad at Moffat (even though he wrote all the best episodes during RTD's reign)

I miss Russell T Davies too. I've found many of the episodes in seasons 5 & 6 to be disappointing and flat.

A very kooky idea for transoforming a household object into an art object/container came to me last night, and I need to wait a few days and revisit the idea in order to determine if it was late night hallucination or doable and cool. Smiley

I once saw a quote that essentially sai 'everything seems like a good idea at 3 in the morning.' Lol. I hope that your idea does turn out to be one of pure genius rather than pure tiredness Smiley.

Maybe this will encourage some more crafsters to join when they see this awesome fabric I have to use for this swap  Grin

Wow!  Where did you get such near fabric?

Eclectic Dreamer, that dyed hand spun wool is really neat!  I have no clue how to hand spin wool, but it looks like a lot of time went into that.  The colors look really good!

Nostephot also messaged that she received my package, but she hasn't uploaded any pics, so I'll follow Eclectic Dreamer's lead and post photos of what I sent.

This is a pic of the whole shebang.  I had to stand on a chair above the kitchen table and take an overhead pic, so it doesn't show details very well.  There is a lot of paper including scraps, ephemera, note cards, tags, etc.  There are also various stickers, ribbons, and fabric scraps.  The colorful tube-like things in the pic are zippers that I wrapped in press and seal to better condense them for sending.  I think there were around 10 zippers total in various colors and sizes ranging from small to large.

When I researched nostephot, I found that she liked Harry Potter, so I made her some magnets as the crafted item.  They have a sealant on them that creates a bit of a clear "bubble" (I can't think of a better term right now) over the top of them.

And last of all, I had fun decorating the envelope to build up the excitement upon receipt.

I just sent in my questionnaire!  I already bought some of my supplies and I'm excited to get started!

I agree with everyone else - the more, the merrier!  After all, more swappers means more fun stuff to abandon and see  Smiley.

Calluna, your altered book sounds amazing and I love the fun of mystery the note stirs up!  It would be so neat to find something like that and then realize that you could keep it!

WOOHOO  Grin.  I've been checking the swaps nearly every day for a few months waiting for a DW swap!

I returned from vacation last week to find a Canadian envelope waiting for me!  Jenn90000 sent stickers, book pages, fabric...  I love the blue maple leaf fabric!

She found these neat books with Asian writing at a thrift store, so she included some of the pages!  It's funny because most of the writing is in a different language, but then there are some English captions.  My favorite page is pictured below, I have no idea what it says, but the English captions along with the illustrations depict Hillary Clinton getting on Obama's case while George Bush rides around on a big duck, lol.

I loved all the stuff that she sent, but the crafted items are my favorite!  As Jennifer stated in her post, we both love Doctor Who, plus I love to read...so I was super excited to find some handmade DW bookmarks!!

I definitely double heart the doctor as well as my stuffed envelope!  Thank you so much Jennifer!   Smiley

Summer and I are both big Doctor Who fans, so naturally she crafted something DW.
I want to start making some ATCs and these are my first ones I received.  Can you believe they are her first too?  They are FANTASTIC! (My picture not so much, so if you have a better one Summer, please post it.  They really are great.)

They are the perfect beginning to my ATC collection.

I'm glad you liked the ATCs!  Since I'd never done any before, I was happy when I found out you liked Doctor Who - what better way to try a new craft than with a DW motif?   Wink

Here is the pic I took before I sent it off:

This is my fave!  It took forever to paint all the pinstripes on, but I was really happy with how they came out  Smiley

Here's my second fave:

I loved creating these for you, thank you Jenn90000 for being such a great partner!   Cheesy

I received from Pupper Smiley.

She sent various papercrafting supplies (my favorite is the book plate):

She made me a bracelet based on an item in my wists.  I love the bird and the stars that she put on it!

Thank you Pupper!
140  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Stuff an Envelope Swap (INTERNATIONAL) rd 2 - s/u to 30th June; SENDOUTS July 21 on: July 22, 2012 06:24:14 PM
Just got back from the post office myself.  Envelopes were a little to fat, so I had to send them as a 'small package', but I don't mind.  I was expecting that anyway.  We are only allowed to send an envelope that is less than 100 grams and less than 2 cms fat for regular lettermail..yeah right...like I can stay in those parameters.

Excited to receive.  Might get one next week, the other likely the week after.  International shipping can be sooooo... what is the word...irritating?  I don't have the patience.  I am an instant gratification type of person sometimes.

I'm not entirely sure how wide 2 cms is, but I do know it's not much.  It would be tough to meet that regulation!  I agree that waiting for the mail can be frustrating!  I tend to check the mailbox at least three times a day when I'm waiting for something good Smiley.

I sent today also - managed to squeak under the 13 oz. restriction but the envelope to England cost me more than $8.00. But that's half what it would cost if I had to use the small Priority box. The one to I sent with in the US was just under $4.

And sending out 10 puzzle pieces packages and my 4 x 6 art to Europe, I spent over $40. today at the P.O.

Yikes - no more "5 swaps at a time" swapping!!

LOL, I thought that I spent a lot at the post office to mail my three envelopes, now I see that I got off lucky Wink.

^ I've had a few expensive trips to the post office - I think 35 was the most I've paid for one parcel: but TOTALLY worth it Smiley

Sorry I've been quiet this time round - struggling with health issues atm so life getting in the way of crafting again Sad

Mini_mum, I hope all the health issues are resolved quickly!  Thank you so much for organizing this swap!
