1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Craft Swaps / Re: CLOSED - 2019 Make-A-Friend Revival: Miniature Version SO #2- 5/31 on: Today at 09:56:53 AM
My favorite projects that Ive made have been things for my son. This is his Halloween costume from a few years ago when he was two.

It was a no-sew all glue project and I was really pleased with how it came out. I smile every time I see this pic of my little Prince Charming.
We had a circus themed party for him when he turned three and I was able to reuse the costume as a Ringmaster outfit for a circus poster I created for the party (and later turned into a fridge magnet).

I've been caring for my infant nephew since last week while my SIL is in the hospital. I'M not sure how long I will be caring for him. This is totally not my area of expertise being 40 years old and no children of my own lol! I used to babysit for cousins like 20 years ago lol! But my nephew has to be fed though a feeding tube every 3 hours and I've had him round the clock the past few days... Luckily he is a pretty good baby . Wink But I am a bit paranoid so I don't get much sleep lol!

I hope your sister in law is doing better this week and all is going well with your nephew! How wonderful that you were able to step in and help! If you have any questions about the feeding tube, feel free to message me. My son has been tube fed his whole life, so Ive gained some insights over the years.

I finished my medium for one partner and have one more medium to go!! My smalls are mostly complete and just require a little bit of final detail attention. Im really happy with how the medium came out and hope my partner likes it too!

Morning or night owl - Id have to say more of a night owl, though ever since I had my son almost 6 years ago, I seem to be able to get up and going in the morning more easily. The only thing is that though Im up and awake, I have a harder time being productive in the morning than at night.

What does your garden grow - I dont gave much of a green thumb. My big accomplishment is that the shamrock houseplant I bought around St Pattys day is still alive.

Package 2 - Most of my crafting for both partners packages requires one major craft supply. I recently discovered that though I had plenty of that supply in stock, it was no good and it was the cause of most (if not all) of the issues I was running into while crafting. I ordered a different brand and received part of the order yesterday and am expecting the second half of the order today. Once I have all of this supply, I should be able to rock and roll!
I do already have a small done for each partner, though I may end up redoing them, well see.  Im expecting to send out on time.

A good thing that happened to me today is I found a muslin blanket at a used children's stuff store. Not very exciting, but Perrin only has one and he loves it.

I love muslin blankets! Im actually expecting a few from Amazon later today! We live in the desert area of California and theyre great for the warm nights. Im not sure how old Perrin is, but the 47x47 works perfectly for my nearly 6 year old!

The thing I dont like about muslin blankets is how expensive so many of them are!
Theres a seller on Etsy with a super good deal on a 4 layer muslin blanket, which is perfect for those nights when you need more than a single layer, but its not cool enough for a full on warm blanket. The sellers shop name is LaurenAndMichael and they have the blanket available for $7.00 plus a very reasonable shipping rate. I bought one a few years ago and am very pleased with the quality and the softness. Ill probably end up buying another one some time soon!

I enjoy a variety of music. The music that Ive been listening to most often lately is childrens music that includes music from Moana, Elmo, Raffi, The Greatest Showman, and Elizabeth Mitchell (I love her 3 little birds rendition). My other most listened to genre is 80s music.

I was so excited about one of my planned projects, but Ive done a few practice pieces and have had nothing but problems and issues  Sad. Every time I think Ive gotten it all under control and Im about to rock and roll, a new issue pops up. My husband is going to try and help me tonight so we can pinpoint what Im doing incorrectly, fix the problem, and complete the project.

Do you guys ever run into these issues? Where you think Yay! Easy project, Ill be done in an hour! Only to find that although you feel like youve worked on the project nonstop for the past three days, you still havent made any progress?

The good news is that hopefully Ill soon know how to avoid such problems in the future!

Any ideas on how to rotate my photos? I can retake the photos of the items I haven't consumed, but I'd rather just rotate the ones I have! Smiley

Once mine decide to rotate, it seems like there's nothing I can do to get them to post correctly.
Does anyone know when the craftster forum on the tapatalk app will be fixed?  That was the easiest way to post photos!

Quaggy - very nice detailing and shading on that sunflower!

I love storms! We dont get anything too crazy where I am, just rain and occasionally thunder and lightning. The best storm I ever saw was when I was a kid and we visited family in Oklahoma. They had thunder and lightning and I think rain too, but it was so much bigger and bolder and the clouds felt so much closer than what Im used to.

Will have to take a look at Hulu, thank you. And I started watching Our Planet and got upset by the baby flamingo, which is what? 10 minutes in to the first episode? And I couldn't carry on  Cry But I really want to watch it!

I downloaded Hulu with the free trial a few years ago and we've had it ever since.  It's nice to have the additional content that Netflix and Prime don't offer.  We don't really use our Prime for watching any shows or movies.  Do you have any recommendations?

I agree about that baby flamingo, it was so sad!  There's a part with some seals in the second episode (I think) that's also very heart wrenching, but there's a bird mating dance scene that had me laughing out loud (I think it was in the first episode).  It's hard because there's no way of knowing which segments are going to be heartbreaking.
