I also received some fun flamingo art from EdelC!  I love how she blended the colors to make it look like they're flying over rolling hills!

I received today!! I really like this piece of art from Nikki (I'm not sure of her Craftster username). I'm a big fan of book page art. I like the bright colors she used and I love the text background! Thank you so much Nikki!

13  Pocket Letters Round 3 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by Summer6061 on: October 17, 2016 10:34:02 AM
Bec, did the wax seal survive the journey to Australia? This is how it looked before I put it in the envelope, I was afraid there might've been too much wax.

14  Re: Sweat Shoppe ORNAMENT Swap Round 7 (signups end 10/17, send by 11/15) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Summer6061 on: October 16, 2016 02:54:37 PM
I was planning on doing 6 ornaments (3 & 3), but as I was putting the finishing touches on my samples, I realized that shipping would probably add up pretty quickly.  My ornaments are glass and will have to be packaged in a box.  I'm not sure how much a small box will ship for, but I'm thinking it would probably be about $5.  Sooo, I think I will change my offerings to just three.  Now the question is, three of which?  The Nativity, or Let it Snow?  Which would you guys prefer?

EDITED: I am offering one or the other, so if you would like one of these, just specify which design you'd like Smiley.

Here's the travel themed pocket letter I received from Bec99!
I love how the butterflies add a pop of color to each of the black and white cards!

These are my three favorites:

Even the back of the cards are fun!

And look at all these extras, so much papery goodness!

Thank you so much Bec, this is the perfect way to start out my pocket letter collection, and I love all the extras!  Thank you for being such a great partner!

I received a lovely package from deadbathducky! I'm sorry for not posting pics yet, my son's been sick and it's been tough finding time, but without further ado, my happy mail:

What a cute Doctor Who envelope! I love the planet in the corner! These perler bead designs of the tenth doctor and a bird are just asking for me to put magnets on them!  I haven't worked with perler beads since I was a kid and I'd have no idea how to start on making designs like these, they came out so well!

Now I can drink tea in style! I love the colors she used and the button on the mug wrap is so sparkly and pretty!

See the three pieces of paper? Deadbathducky handmade those!!  I'm excited to use them in a special project, I'm not sure what it'll be yet, but you'd better believe it'll be for something good! This crane bookmark is so neat!  I love that I can fold the wing over the page!  She also sent a picture of her cat who matches the paper and envelope she sent!

This is an envelope full of little beads!  I love the size and colors of these beads as they can work really well for a number of different projects!

A cute ladybug clip and some fun extras!  Thank you so much for swapping with me deadbathducky!  The mail you sent truly did make me happy!

There's so much happy mail goodness in this gallery and I'm about to add to it!  I received from Geekgirl1000100 the other day!  She put her handmade envelope in a decorated manila envelope.  I like the Zentangled doodle on the manila envelope (I love to Zentangle and am always on the lookout for new patterns and ideas).  The nice thing about the inner green envelope is that I can reuse it!

She made this art/junk journal (I'm not entirely sure what it's referred to as).  It's made up of various fun pages that are just waiting for me to add to them!  It also has two pockets and two itty bitty envelopes that had extra ephemera included in them! And what is the cover made from you ask?  It's the packaging from a bacon, chicken, raspberry soup!  Okay, maybe not that exactly, but some kind of food packaging Smiley.  I love that Geekgirl thought outside the box when she created this mini journal!!

She made and decorated these mini envelopes out of maps and book pages (I love crafts that incorporate book pages!).  The flower badges that she included will be perfect for papercrafting! She also sent a store bought envelope clip.  I'm thinking of incorporating it into a Valentine's Day card for my husband (ooh, or maybe an anniversary card as our anniversary is coming up soon...).

I love the that the cords on these tags coordinate so well!  I might end up using some of the flower badges with these tags to make some gift tags - decisions, decisions...  The doodle in the bottom left is a small art print that I'll put on my craft room desk once I finally get my craft room established.  To the right of the art print is the envelope that it came in.  Last but not least, Geekgirl sent a happy mail stamp.  It will be perfect to use in the next happy mail swap!

Thank you so much Geekgirl1000100 for my happy mail!

18  Re: Christmas Stocking Swap Rd. 10 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Summer6061 on: December 17, 2014 11:57:23 PM
At last! I have a free moment to post pics (haha, I wrote that about 8 hours ago - that free moment didn't last very long)!  Life got crazy overnight, and then to top it off, I got sick  Sad.  But I am happy to report that I too have received a nice package from Sylvan that made my day merry & bright  Cheesy.  When I made her a TARDIS stocking, I thought to myself, 'wouldn't it be funny if she made me a TARDIS too?'  Well, lo and behold...

This was the first thing I saw when I opened the box and it put a huge smile on my face!  Somebody else mentioned how you can give us craftsters the same crafting 'assignment,' yet end up with so many different variations.  We both made TARDIS stockings, but they came out so different from each others.  Sylvan did a great job with the paneling on my stocking.  She had to wait a little while after her concussion before she could cut it out, but it worked out perfectly!

Included with the stocking were some bath dots, coasters, a slouchie beanie, and a 'floofy' scarf (her word, and the same exact one I would've used to describe it).  The hat is nice because it's lightweight and the scarf is really soft!  I like the color of the scarf, it will be perfect to dress up casual outfits.

Here's a close up of the coasters and bath dots.  I love the festive Christmas coloring of the coasters!  They can also be easily transformed into ornaments, so they're a kind of 2-for-1 crafted item.  The bath dots are really bright & colorful and there are so many of them!  They will definitely liven up my baby's bath time!  We already have some sticking to the shower wall that we used for counting while I gave him his bath tonight.

Sylvan wrapped quite a few of my gifts in these fabric bags!  They are way better than gift bags because once they get wrinkled, instead of throwing them out, they just need to be ironed and they can be reused again and again (I want to wrap gifts in them this Christmas, but I don't want to give them up, I want keep them to wrap gifts in EVERY year! Lol).  She also made me 6 pairs of earrings!  Baby boy is not quite beyond the 'grab anything dangling within his reach' stage, but I look forward to wearing these earrings once he is Smiley.

My husband is quite the handyman, so Sylvan made him some tool shaped chocolates!  I'm going to save these for his stocking, but I know he'll love them, they're perfect for him!

Sylvan also included a dozen hand made cards (complete with envelopes) for various occasions!  You may notice there are only 11 in the pic; that's because I'd already used my favorite one for my sister's birthday before I took a pic - and since I took the pic, I've used another one for a package I'm shipping out.  These are so handy to have around, I love them!

I was happy to see that she had made me two washcloths and delighted to realize they were Doctor Who washcloths!  I've never been excited over washcloths before!  I'm very impressed with her ability to knit the Cyberman and Dalek designs into the cloths!  I don't know anything about knitting, but that seems pretty hard to me.

As for the purchased items, Sylvan included some tasty maple cookies and Ghirardelli peppermint chocolate squares.  I've never had these cookies before (maybe because I've never been to Canada), they taste like a maple donut (which made me realize, I haven't tasted very much maple - maple syrup doesn't even have a very maple-y taste in comparison to these cookies).  As for the Ghirardelli squares, I'm very glad she included them.  They're one of my favorite Christmas treats, but I hadn't had any this year.  She also included some foam ornaments that I think I'll make with my 4 year old nephew, he always wants to craft with me  Smiley.  She also sent a notebook that I've already been making good use of!

Lastly, Sylvan sent this really neat gourd Santa ornament.  She bought it at a store run by a Mennonite church that sells hand made items from around the world.  It's very detailed and makes a beautiful addition to our tree!

Thank you so much for taking me on as your second partner Sylvan!  I really enjoyed crafting for you as well as receiving all the goodies you sent!  I'm just sad the swap is over!

Wow Onyxnox, the tags you made are so detailed and beautiful!  I have to agree with dharma_rebel, your paper crafting skills are amazing!

I received the last of my tags last night from gala_apples.

Thank you for the six tags Gala!  The sweater tag is cute and just might be my fave of the bunch (although the 'cheer' tag is a close second)!!  I'm excited to start wrapping presents!

Thank you all for a really fun swap!

I received some beautiful tags from Kaz814!

The hard part is choosing a favorite!  I love them all and want to put them on my own presents under the tree!   Grin
