1  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Learn to Quilt Kit from Fabric Editions - good for beginner? on: April 29, 2009 04:49:07 PM
I am interested in learning to quilt.  I saw these kits at Joann's.  It is 12 different wall hangings, one for each month.  Each teaches a different technique.  Is anyone familiar with these?  I am wondering if they are a good starting point.  The kit includes instructions and fabric so I thought it might be nice not to have to try to match up colors and such the first time around.  I spent 45 minutes in the fabric store the other day just trying to decide which fleece to use to make a cat bed, so picking out multiple coordinating colors and patterns for a quilt seems a bit daunting.
