my own twist on a national costume for children
have made two such but the other is not quite finished yet. and I have even a black and white one to a baby boy left to make. then begins to have little time left.

and had to show these two

looks on the picture that the apron is crooked but it's just I have not added it properly.

20  soon summer *picture tut* picture heavy! in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Morwen on: May 07, 2010 02:24:37 PM
I love making these.
So thought I'd share these with you and the pattern

please let me know what you think

mi daughter helps most to show how to measure
from under the jaw bone over the head and under the jaw bone (A)

from the back of the head and to the hairline (B)

forgot to show how you take the measurement inn the back, but 7-10cm is ok (1-4years) (C)

the parts you Vil need:
You can vary the front edge as you want

Sew on the lace

sew inner cap

Add the gathered band on the longest side of the fabric
be sure not to put it right out to the corners
sew on making it easier to mount next section

Sew on the inner cap

so it now appears on the reverse side

it looks like when it is directed as it should be

needle and sew on strip

fold and sew down

tread bands and you're done
