1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Tyrion Lannister embroidered portrait hoop on: May 01, 2015 06:06:03 AM
Hi everyone   Smiley

I'm a huge Game of thrones fan and when I got into stitching portraits a while ago I had to stitch my favourite GOT guy, although his brother is a very close second!  I spent a long time looking for some fabric suitable to mount him onto and came across this Reds and Gold which I thought was perfect.  I hope you like him, thanks for looking  Smiley

2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Alice in Wonderland Hooplas on: February 27, 2015 01:16:20 AM
Hi everyone

I have been away from Crafster for a while but missed it here and decided to jump back in  Smiley  I have been mostly working on lots of embroidery for the past year and thought I'd share some of the things I have been working on.  I really enjoyed working on these hoops and spent ages looking for the perfect material to mount the embroidery onto.  As soon as I spotted the Rose fabric I knew I'd found a winner and I'm super happy with the result.  The cards I made for someone who requested it to be framed as is, without the Roses.

Thanks for looking  Smiley

3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Lock and Key embroidery on: June 06, 2011 08:09:38 AM
I did these hoops for the previous hoopla round

couple of progress pics

The fabric was a nightmare to draw the design onto

Finished hoops

I mainly used satin stitch, with some backstitches and brick which was a new stitch for me, I had to re-do it a few times till I got the hang of it

thanks for looking

Just finished this up for a friends birthday, my first time embroidering and I really enjoyed the making.  I was going to satin? stitch the dress but as I have never done the stitch before on a bigger area, I didnt want to mess it up so I did a crayon tint instead which again I have never tried before.  Completed the bag with some charms of fairys and toadstools  Smiley thanks for looking
