3  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: My Wonky House Quilt made from my Craftster swap on: June 05, 2011 06:06:38 AM
That's cute! Here's a bunch of various "buildings."

I'm still looking for the link SimplySandy gave when we did the wonky house blocks. Hmm I think I found it on quiltville but it appears to be not working.

Has anyone seen the teeny wonky gnome houses? I saw a quilt with teeny tiny houses (maybe 2-3 inch houses in a 10-12 inch block) and it was soooo cute. Lately I'm liking quilts with a lot of negative space.

I've seen that quilt, or at least one like it, and I love it!  I think making the little houses would be fun.  Here is the one I've seen: http://www.flickr.com/photos/imagingermonkey/3852874991/

My mother in law would love this, hopefully I have enough time before Christmas to come up with something like this!

The pattern is from a company called Happy Hollow Designs, here is a link to their website www.happyhollowdesigns.com  The pattern is called Topsy Turvy Snowman.  I'm not sure if it's on their site but it's worth a look Smiley

Thanks everyone for the compliments, my mom loved it!

So Cute. How did you make the faces? Are the felt or embroidered?

The eyes and mouth were embroidered on and the noses are orange fabric I had on hand.

This is the second quilt I've done.  I saw the pattern in a local quilt shop and had to get it, my mom loves snowmen.  I can't wait to give it to her tomorrow  Grin
