1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / Re: Stamping doubts on: March 07, 2009 11:02:17 AM
Hi Munchkinaroo!  Glad you are having fun with clear stamps.  They really are the most economical way to go.  Be cautious about the less expensive ones that are made from a different type of plastic.  The polymer or photopolymer stamps that are made in the US are generally better for keeping their "stickiness" and are made from a material with just enough "squish" to get a good stamp impression.  If you practically have to get out the pliers to pull your stamp off of the original sheet, it's probably not the best quality.  Good polymer should pull off with ease and should re-stick over and over.  If it does get a little dirty, wash them in dish soap and water and then let air dry.  They should be sticky again after that.   I love clear stamps and I think you will find that they are a good value for your money.

Lots of scrapbooking magazines are closing their publications now too!  I like the Somerset series of magazines, and I get great scrapbooking ideas from the Somerset Memories, but also the Somerset Studio mag is great for inspiration too, if you are looking for a little bit more "non-traditional" style.  I also like Scrapbook Trends, but they are VERY expensive (and they don't offer much in the way of instruction).   Hope that helps!

Hi there!  Will you add www.PinkPersimmon.com to your sources?  Very cool vintage style stamps (I am the co-owner, so  I hope it is OK to post this!).  Thanks!  - Darcy
