I've heard about this CAL from another craftster and ran across this little tidbit in snopes.com and immediately thought of all of you.

it's talking about postage issues and applies to anyone who swaps.

hope this is accepted as my first hint for being frugal.... Cheesy
22  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Swap Round 2 Signups end Feb 12! on: February 09, 2010 10:15:47 AM
CraftyDeJa You can start crafting some stuff if you have ideas for recycled type stuff.
For the Swap Requirements, I'll amend the first post to show this, but this is how sizes add up:
Examples of Sizes
3 points Large: 3 hours or more;or $30 or more in value, examples shawl, shirt, project tote, apron, set of pillowcases, set of tea towels, large stuffie
2 points Medium: 2 hours but no more than 3 hours to complete, or $15-$30 in value, necklace, belt, bracelet, scarf, deluxe pincushion
1 point Small: at least 1 hour but no more than 2 hours to complete, or $5-$15 in value, pouch, stickers, earrings, bookmark

Please do not confuse the issue by including points since they are not approved in the swap guide  "...but it is not a Craftster regulated system."

I find them tooooo confusing....  Thanks.

most office buildings have a recycle program for all of their tenants through a local recycling company for both cardboard and/or office paper.  It's sad to think my town is the only one in the country (I hope not) that offers recycling through our local garbage service.  Instead of one trash can, you put out two, one trash and one recycleables.

I'll be watching to see what develops.....  I still like the idea of this swap and hope it comes to fruition.

I have to make new costumes this year and am looking for some updated info.

I feel like such a slacker when I haven't been able to spend time on here in a few days because of work and I see everyone's lists with 10 or 12 things already crossed off.  I'm still stuck with one thing crossed off and three or four things started.   Roll Eyes  Looking forward to summer when I have plenty of crafting time.  Between now and the end of March I'll be using craftng to recooperate the brain from work.  Smiley

sounds like you work in the TAX industry....

29  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: One for Me, One for You take 2!! on: January 26, 2010 12:38:03 PM
#216 would be more my style, actually the #201, prairie dress is more what I had in mind to make....  but #216 would also work for me...... We are members of our local Histoical Society and it would be great to have something a little more fitting that my current jeans and shirt look, especially for events.

Now, what could I make for you that I need for myself?Huh? hmmmmm.  something for the other half of your "we"HuhHuh
30  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Embroidery Swap on: January 26, 2010 12:11:19 PM
sounds inspiring... it's been 35 years since I did any embroidery work... just got back into cross stitch a few weeks ago....   working on quilt blocks.  I'm enjoying it so much, makes me wonder why I let it get away from me.

congratulations on starting Sevs....

your signup period sounds good... if you only require a medium and/or small items.  If you do a large, I don't think I could participate.... I'm not that fast and don't have much time to craft... work & commute takes about 13 hrs a day....
