6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / pinup playing cards on: September 13, 2009 11:39:05 AM
heey everybody,
I hope I'm posting this on the right topic.

my brother (who's turning 19 soon) really wants a deck of pin-up playing cards. and we're not talking about the dirty ones, but about the classic ones.
but i can't find them anywhere for a good price ( and his birthday is in a month... to late with starting again)
i found pictures from a whole deck which are matching (actually 2 whole decks)
but i'm not sure how to make it look as-if they are real.

i thought sticking them on normal cards, and putting a plastic layer on it(which i use on my schoolbooks) but that turned out weird, and not realistic

anyone an idea how i can make them look better???

thanks for your time,
sorry for my bad writing, I'm a dutch girl. ^^ who prefers to talk
7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / funny postcards on: September 13, 2009 04:35:35 AM
okey, i don't know if this is the right place to post this. so I'm sorry Tongue

I read a lot things on craftster. but I'm to lazy to post my own crafts. (A)

to lazy to search for my camera.

but enough excuses.

i have a friend who's going to Afghanistan for the 3th time. and I promised him to sent him a postcard at least every week.
I already have some funny ideas that will let him know that I think about him.

1. a card with 100 small pictures on it with his name (his name is 'Ben' which is the dutch word for 'be' so i can find his name easy i think)
2. a card with just Hi. on it
3. a card made from a coca-cola label ( he allways make me drink a lot cola, and i get hyper very easy... so Tongue)
4. our group of friends with a poppet in the middle with his name on it
5. a very girly card
6. a card with a lot of confetti in it.

can you help me with some more ideas???

thanks in advance, and sorry for my bad English, I'm a dutch schoolgirl Tongue
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Gothic zipper choker (image heavy with tutorials!!) on: April 27, 2009 01:08:01 PM
i've made one of these a long time ago, in red.

but people thought it was funny to zip and unzip it, while I was wearing it. and i can tell you it hurts when your skin is between the zipper. . .

but eventhough it still looks awesome!
