1  Re: Quilt Block of the Month Craftalong in Craftalongs by Gary_The_Snail on: February 01, 2006 04:47:56 PM
So sorry this being late! I got so involved with exam studying I had no time to take pics of my blocks! Seeing everyone else's pretty blocks reminded me to get my butt moving on this and so here they are!

They're both a little wonky (and the one is sort of delightfully puckered  Cheesy) but I
m still pretty proud of them. Thanks so much crazy_bc_jen for organizing all of this! I've had so much fun already quilting! I'm off to Fabricland tomorrow to get a few more squares for Feb's blocks!

2  Re: "Model in a box" for my boyfriend? in Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage by Gary_The_Snail on: January 05, 2006 06:06:50 PM
Alrighty everyone! I finally have time to post the finished product. I ended up getting him:
-A pair of silky boxers  Wink
-A bath kit which contained body wash, body butter and body lotion
-Hair mud stuff (I'm going to do his hair for him)
-Moves by Addidas (which he said he loved the scent of because his friend has it!)

He was really pleased with everything I got him. Thanks guys! craftnovice - I personally loved the stylish magazine thing but the only stylish men's magazine had a few too many scantily dressed women in it so I decided against that!  Cheesy

Here are some pics!

The box before (well, I had covered the outside already but this is a view of what both the inside and outside looked like):

And the box after a little flashy gold wrapping paper was applied by moi:

Heres a pic of everything inside the box:

And a close-up of the print on the boxers  Kiss :

Thanks again craftsters!

3  Re: Some uber cute purses! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Gary_The_Snail on: March 28, 2005 07:43:53 AM
oh... they are so cute!! i love the right one! Can you pleaaaase make a close up of it?
Do you have a tutorial or pattern for the right one?

I actually followed the tutorial Here:
except mine came out much wonkier because of the non-fusable interfacing I used. (I'm gonna stick to fusable  Angry)

And here's a close up:

Thanks for all the great feedback! I always feel so welcome at Crafster.

5  T-shirts turned rock! (large pics) (My happy day with scissors) in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Gary_The_Snail on: March 26, 2005 01:44:07 PM
First I have to say I don't exactly know how to make the pics smaller but still clear. I haven't mastered that art yet lol. These are two shirts I made today. The first was just an old Campus Crew tee that never really flattered me. So I just cut off the neck and the sleeves and the bottom to create a sort of half shirt thing. I'm praying the edges don't fray (just curl) so that I can wear this all the time!

Now we have an ugly, Old Navy shirt turned hot corset! And it's super comfy because of the worn in t-shirt fabric.

And here's another view of it which makes it look sorta wonky but oh well:

There we have it! Hope you like them! Gimme feedback people!

Hey Y'all!

These are my first projects as a sewer! I just got a new sewing machine as an early xmas pressie so I've been making purses like mad! I want to thank Jordy for posting that tutorial because it was the easiest thing to follow and produced great results! Please tell me what you think!
