23  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Latest glass pendants on: September 24, 2010 05:07:05 PM
Im not normally a big fan of glass pendants. I mean, I don't hate them, they just don't appeal to me. However, I AM IN LOVE WITH ALL OF YOUR FROGGIE PENDANTS.  Adorable. And shiny. I like shiny.

I'm a healthy combination of disgusted and awed by this. It's very pretty, I love the antiquated look. I actually like to sculpt bird skulls from polymer clay, so the look I love. Death things just creep me out.

Omg. I feel silly for thinking it was a pin cushion. But now it's multo-purpose!
26  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Wall Art Swap 2 (Signups to 9/14/10 Send out by 10/15/10) CLOSED on: September 21, 2010 01:15:11 PM
You should have told her where she could put her cupcakes.

On another note, I'm like...uber almost done with half my package, the big part anyways. Sadly, there is hair everywhere.  I've been spitting it out for like...and hour now. I think I may have inhaled a bit.  But hey? It's for the sake of epic wall art.

I received! My pictures aren't the best, and I didn't manage to get a pic of the super cute tiny totoro with a mustache plushie! (seriously wicked awesome, by the way.)

Bewara outdid herself, for reals.  She sent me not one but THREE mustache stamps, in various sizes.

And she made me a super cute mustache finger pin cushion, which I needed, because of this felt-taxerdermy thing I'm doing,  have to use like three pin cushions for various things. So very helpful.

AND (yes, there is more!)

She sent me tiny goodies.  Like a bunch of tiny plastic charms and adorable things. I gave a few to my mother-in-law, she makes bows for my daughter, and I thought they'd be to cute to not put on my kids head.  Also, she sent me inchies, and I cannot wait to decorate them. Seriously. She spoiled me.  SPOILED ME.

29  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Gnomedrops - my little beanbottoms plushie pals. on: September 20, 2010 05:43:08 PM

So, I recently participated in the Gnome and Mushroom swap, and had the most fantastic partner ever, Doxie24_7 who made me this :

Which, is like the coolest zombie gnome I have ever seen.  Thats my daughter holding him.  She loves him, probably even harder then I do.

I liked him so much that I set out to make my own.  Except that mine didn't turn out like hers.  And I frowned. Scrapped the whole project. And set out to make my own gnome, inspired by Doxie24_7, but my own.

Thus was born, the Gnomedrops, named for there very rain-drop like shape.  And I freaking love them. And I'm addicted to making them.  The bottom (pants/dress) portion is actually pouch-like.  I'm making these for a Christmas craft swap, and I think I'm going to hide either little candies, tea-bags, or potpourri in them.

I used the tiniest black saftey-eyes I could find, and embroidered the eyelashes.  I learned pretty quick that you should embroider the eyelashes first.  The rosey cheeks are actually a pretty pink combination of various eyeshadows.  I like the effect. They are mostly filled with plushie-fluff (recycled from lumpy throw pillows) but the bottom quarter or so, is actually beans.  It makes them stand on there own.  They are about 8-10 inches high.

C&C welcome!
30  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Cephalopod swap! SEND-OUTS TODAY! on: September 20, 2010 07:09:27 AM
I need DC#'s from the following people by tonight, and we'll have had an awesome, easy, fantastic swap!

Alexandra_The_Great  (sending late)
Slingmomma  (sending late)

Let me know if your sending late, so I can mark you down! It happens, and we all understand, but I don't want to mistake you for a *gasps* FLAKER.

Because Flakers go to Craft Hell, where you have spend all your days picking glitter off of wool sweaters.  Just saying. No one wants that.
