Love it. I'm not a big fan of actual lace, but I love painted lace patterns. This turned out awesome.

That means that this swap is done! Oh sadness!

I think some one should organize a full sized swap for Mustaches. If they don't, I will, eventually. But yeah, it would be cool. This was fun.

Love this! I love layered chains and flower necklaces, so this is pretty much epic-win for me.

this came out great i made one but i don't know how to attach them to a chain i was thinking of glueing one of those flat metal things that has 2 curved loops in the back I'm not sure what they are called but I'm still working on it lol i  hope to get it some day to put it up on here and wear it lol but urs is so awesome

I sewed them to a small circle of stiff black felt, with holes punched in each side to attach jewelry hoops. It also helped to support the flower and make it lay flat.  They tend to be a little top heavy on chains, and fall forward without the base.

I've seen a lot of people making flowers by cutting petals and melting the edges with a candle flame to make them curl, using polyester fabrics.

So I took that idea and turned it into my own.

For each flower, I cut three different sized petals, about eight of each size. I did this for three different sized petals. Instead of a poly-blend, I used a raw-silk material.

After cutting and burning the petals, I layered them and sewed them, which was a tedious and obnoxious affair. But turned out awesome.

After the flowers were finished, I glued the rhinestones to the center, mounted it on two layers of stiff-felt.  I punched a whole in the bottom of the felt in the out flowers to hang the layered chain, and then punched new holes in the top outer flowers for the rest of the chain.  It was a simple idea, but the execution actually took a bit because of all the cutting, and burning the edges of every petal individually. But I think it was worth it.

C&C always welcome.

Fabulous mustache pouch from haroldlovesmaud! She also send me the most epic little card by one of my favorite artists Kathleen Lolley called 'Friends with a Yetti' but I framed it and every time I take a picture of it, the glare is just awesome.  It's very cute though.

She totally appeased my buttonfetish though, with this little green button we got going on here.  And button holes? She actually made like a proper button hope. Am I easily impressed? Cause I love that she did that.  And check out the uber cute fabric. Oh yes. I am a happy camper.

She also sent a hand carved mustache stamp, but the thing behind my computer got it. I swear there is a living, breathing monster back there that eats things off my desk.  But he poops too, cause every thing seems to find it's way back to me.

got this fabulous guy in the mail a few days ago, but I only just got to posting pictures.  It also came with TWO AWESOME OCTOPUS PAINTINGS! And a journal, with cute octo-illustrations.  The journal has been made into my wedding book and is at my mother in laws, and the paintings, I am sad to stay, have been stolen by my thriving toddler who loves octopuses even more then I do.  They have yet to be seen, but I have an idea.  She's sneaky.

Anyways, I love this little bugger.  My husbands been eying him up though, so I have to hide him now.

I can't pick a favorite either! I like your choice of ruffle fabric on the Tweed's though.  The stripes really do it wonders.

Fabulous. I like how you can see the twists in the drunk, where it kind of looks shaded? Love it.
