1  Mother's Day Scarf in Crochet: Completed Projects by McGillistabby on: May 09, 2009 08:46:50 AM
So I decided to make my mom something from what yarn I had, since anything I could afford would have been from CraigsList's 'Free' section Tongue  I made a scarf!

Here's the card, the front I did with some crayons Grin (I went to the store for some glue, saw the crayons, and knew what had to happen Wink )

And the inside is printed from http://someecards.com/ (I used a sharpie to adjust the hair and make some glasses on the little girl to make it look like me Cheesy

And here they are ready to be boxed up and shipped out Smiley

The scarf is basically the Flowered Scarf from the free crochet pattern section in JoAnn's site (http://www.joann.com/joann/), but with the width added, a sc border, and instead of their flowers, one flower that's actually from the Klutz crocheting book Grin

Update: The package arrived while I was on the phone with her today! She loved it! Cheesy

2  Re: Wrist Warmers / Fingerless Gloves Crochet-a-long in Crochetalongs by McGillistabby on: May 04, 2009 12:02:50 PM
Woo hoo! Finished a pair to match my purse (which you can see in the background Tongue) Grin

I added a sc border around the edges Smiley

My friend saw me making them and now I'm making him a pair, too ^_^ Thanks for the pattern!

Edit: Hooray! I finished Sean's wrist warmers a couple day's ago (after taking a quick hiatus to make my mom something for Mother's Day) Smiley

3  And for my first post: Fit to be tied! in Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller by McGillistabby on: April 23, 2009 07:12:35 PM
Hooray! I finally made something worth posting Cheesy

I made the "Fit to be Tied" purse with grey yarn, a black ribbon (which ties the bow that took a thousand tries), polk-a-dot lining, and a black sew on snap to finish her up! I'm very pleased with how it turned out though Grin Now without further adieu...

Oh yes, and let's not forget me almost finished, only to finally admit there was no way and no how that I had been doing it right ^_^ Ah, my first frogging...

I'd love to know what y'all think  Smiley
