1  Jellyfish Collage Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by skatergirl1007 on: May 16, 2019 09:10:40 PM
My mom was doing a collage class for Laura Heine and I also happened to see this fabric that looked like water. Which then got the idea to make some collaged jellyfish to go onto the fabric. I drew out the jellyfish shapes onto some freezer paper. And I found a ton of orange fabric and put fusible on it and then bam jellyfish bodies. For the tentacles I just used the decorative stitches on my machine to make them. I also made three completely stitched jellyfish to add something to the background. And we had some orange minky for the backing.

I need to work on more projects. But I did get this quilt finished. And happened to have some orange minky for the back so its nice and cozy. I had made the top a couple of months ago using orange fabric scraps to make the jellyfish body. I made my own pattern for the jellyfish bodies.

Everyone's projects have been looking good!! I like the plants a lot! I should find some patterns to make my own.

Oh I have been busy lately but not with any crafting really  Cry  But I am enjoying seeing everyone's stuff!!

I did make something this last week though. I have a cute baby nephew now and he needs an easter basket so I had to make one. I used an orange canvas type fabric for the outside. A cute blue bunny print inside. And then the handle was a green with stars. lol kinda a lot of fabrics but I didn't have enough of the bunny to do the handle as well.

I ended up making a couple of burp-clothes the other day. I have a cousin who is going to have a boy this year so I thought I would make a couple small things to send her. I don't have much for flannel around so I was happy to find the two checker pieces. The oh boy piece is just a plain cotton.

What a nice leash! And I really like seeing your paper crafts! They are so fun MistressT!

bethntim those washcloths are very fun and bright.

I ended up deciding to make a little mug rug the other day. I really like it because of the fun circle shape and the bright orange for a citrus theme. I had to include a picture of the back because I had this fun citrus fabric that was perfect for the back!

I finished this other quilt top on Monday and finally got around to taking a picture.

I also made some elephants. I haven't really made stuffed animals before so I made two because I wanted to practice on the one and then that is going to be a gift. My cousin is having a baby boy so the grey and blue will be going to them as a baby shower gift. The pink one is going to end up going with a coworker to a baby shower they are attending. It was a great coincidence for the pink elephant.

I have been enjoying seeing everyones projects so far. They have been really awesome. The lampshade tree stand is cute. I really like the stitch markers too.

I haven't been doing too much yet this year but I did end up finding an old project that I had completely forgotten about. I had everything cut out for this little quilt and had started some of the piecing, but then it got put in a box and forgotten lol. I had fun finishing up the top so it's not quite a finished project but I am happy with what I have gotten done.

Woot got home kinda late from work so I finally got to see what I got from Kansas96. And it is some really awesome stuff!! I will try to remember to take pictures in better light in the morning (and when my phone doesn't just restart itself). She made me a trick or treat tote, an awesome candle with spiders and skulls, and a little hand in a crystal ball/globe that is really cool. I also really loved the card that she sent. My mom, brother, and I had to check out the pop balloons that you hit and they blow up. So we had fun with three of those. Oh and I got a lot of candy.

10  First Rag Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by skatergirl1007 on: October 07, 2017 02:02:04 PM
So I found six started blocks for a rag quilt and have finally gotten around to using them. It turned into this cute baby quilt, but I have no one to gift it to so who knows what I will do with it  Smiley  I happened to have a bunch of baby flannel around and just cut some squares to finish it. It wasn't too long of a project too which was nice.
