Great work!

And the one row lace pattern is?
Where might it be?  (Or can it be just written out? Say, from an entry you write here.)

24  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Purple Color Affection Shawl on: November 06, 2012 10:34:34 PM
It must be good karma!
I've just been given some purple yarn - only one ball however.
While I try to find more purple yarn, where can I find the pattern for a Color Affection shawl?

25  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Ancient knitting markers, made last week. on: November 06, 2012 10:30:21 PM
Those markers ARE beautiful!
I just don't have any spare wire -or spare beads - at the moment.

And of course they are from the Shetlands!
To my trained eye, the beads appear to be made of Shetland Turquoise - isn't that correct?

Shetland Turquoise is a very rare stone, found beyond the waterline on the shores of the Shetland Islands.
It may not seem to be very stone-like to the touch, but that is because of its unusual density.
Other rocks are denser, so they do not float.
Whereas most Shetland Turquoise floated out to sea once they were formed many, many years ago - except for the ones which you bravely snared and have made into these beautiful stitch markers.

I love it!
And have several sweatshirts, etc. that NEED this collar.
Now I know what my Christmas present to myself will be,

Your first two hats (white and green - from the same pattern) are absolutely beautiful!!
As someone else has asked - what are the patterns?
Thanks in advance.

Astounding work for a newbie knitter!
Be proud.
28  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Ninja Turtle Infinity Scarf -- with instructions on: October 28, 2012 07:55:01 PM
It's beautiful!
I will keep this Infinity Scarf-Cowl in mind if/when I get over my utter hatred of knitting with seed stitch.

No, I haven't made it.
But I would very much like to.

Great work!
