1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Fabulous Chairs for my Craft Room! on: January 10, 2015 05:45:26 PM
I have a chair that looks about like  your "before" picture. Which I am anxious to recover before it joins the rest of the set. (The others in the set were left outside in the weather, because they looked like your "before" picture and were therefore not worth saving. And they were left outside until they completely self-destructed.)
Grrr. I want to prove there IS life left in such things.
But I have no idea how to re-cover a chair seat and neither am I at all 'handy' when it comes to something like that.
Please can you help, either with instructions or with directions about where to go for instructions? Thanks.
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Candy Apple Armwarmers (now with pattern!) on: September 17, 2014 06:16:01 PM
Thanks for the pattern, Mairwear.
I am just about to restart knitting (now the weather is cooler) and these have been printed and added to my list of items to knit.
(Why did these Candy Apple  Armwarmers pop up in a September 2014 Project of the Week?)
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Plastic bags basket on: January 08, 2014 09:08:06 PM
Great job! And thanks for showing it to us.
How sturdy is it - that is, do the sides of the bowl collapse when the basket/bowl part is filled with something?

I agree 110% with grammyBon  - I too would like a pattern.
4  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Holey socks on: November 23, 2013 07:27:36 PM
An idea for scrappy socks (and a link to a pattern) is here:

Great work!
And oh, what a beautiful pattern !!

That's a hint - asking where you got the pattern from.
(Although I am quite serious about your knitting being good.)

Please ... where can I find the pattern?
(Or, if it's not already online somewhere, you are going to write it out for me and send it to me - right?)

Sigh - perhaps I should just find a stitch collection and make up one of my own?

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: SLIPPERS! *With Pattern* on: March 05, 2013 08:45:58 AM
Thank you for this.
Your work is gorgeous!

I'm a knitter by preference, so now I'll just have to upgrade my crocheting skills.
It's great to have something small to practice on!

Thanks again!
8  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Chalkboard Wine Glasses (w/ tutorial) on: February 13, 2013 10:25:20 PM
That is great!

And I'll bet it would be good for a child's birthday party too - each having a glass with their name on it, not a glass with wine in it.
9  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Sparkly Tattoo Tutorial on: January 16, 2013 10:53:43 PM
Looks great!
And thanks for this.
10  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Homemade Laundry Soap ** With Tute! ** (picture heavy) on: January 16, 2013 10:51:18 PM
Boo Hoo! Why am I only reading this now?
Until last spring/summer I had a grocery bag filled with soap scraps ... you know, those tiny pieces which keep slipping off your washcloth in the shower.

I had someone in to 'help' me houseclean - to lower the evidence that I might be a hoarder - and they convinced me to toss the bag, which had been accumulated over the past 15 or so years. (My original intention had been to use them to make melt and pour soap ... except that it wasn't the correct kind of soap to use.)

I will have to restart the saving I guess.
Thanks for this.
