395  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: The Sea and the Gallows Refuse None on: March 03, 2009 05:34:27 PM
This is an amazing piece of work.I envy your skills with a needle.

I wonder if there is a better way to display it, the black frame does not seem worthy framing this awesome piece.

I thought the same thing too.  I bet this would look even more beautiful accented by a reclaimed or drift wood frame. Cheesy Then again it's not my piece of artwork. Cheesy It's simply beautiful though.

wow, you must have to fold those with stick pins. Smiley Simply beautiful. I too thought the first one was a fairy in a bottle. I was thinking someone had sculpted something that small... which would be impressive too.

399  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My First Ever Knitting Roll on: February 24, 2009 11:46:12 AM
I didn't know where exactly to put these. They're sewn but obviously for knitting... such a dilemma. Well feel free to move it where it belongs.

So here they are, my first attempts at knitting rolls. They're for a swap mate who has a large number of double points and circular needles, all kept in a Ziploc bag.

So with no pattern, just a rough idea I went about remedying that problem. Here's the results. I hope you like them. They've had me thinking that maybe I could sell them but then again, what do I know.

400  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Lemmings! on: February 24, 2009 11:02:12 AM
Hehe! If only you could come up with a way to make an exploder!

LOL I know - I was thinking about that too! But I think it would either be unrecognizable, or gross...

You could do the Exploder... just do the "Oh No!" moment before he blows up. Cheesy Hands on sides of head... it'd be even better if you could make it so if you pulled on his head confetti would pop out but that's just wrong. Smiley

These are simply fantastic!
